Dr. Martens Sinclair Zip Platform Boots Black Milled Leather

Rated 4 out of 5 by Felinefurball from Gorgeous boots but be warned, they are heavy! I read loads of reviews before buying these boots. I'm usually a UK6 so I ordered a 5 and a 6 in case I needed to size down. I found the 5 to be too snug so I went with the 6 with an insole. The zip moves easily, and the boots are comfy, but heavy to wear. I'm sure I'll get used to the weight of them! So far, no blisters, the leather is soft and beautiful quality and I love teaming them with a cute dress and tights. I find the boots are quite deep across the toe box but the insole should help there. I'd say there isn't a hard and fast rule for size up/down, its a case of trying and see which size fits best. Love them though!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by EstherF30 from Look amazing, very comfy. This is my 5th pair of boots from Dr. Marten and they did not disappoint. They look amazing, in love with the chunky sole and I love the option of using the zip or taking it out and then you have just a pair of lace up boots which I didn’t know before buying them. I would say that a tip I read online was to buy shorter laces for them because they do stick out the top of the zip and look a bit weird or dig in if you shove the laces down the side, but I think I have a system that works now lol. Unlike most of my docs they haven’t rubbed while breaking them in either. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MiaCat98 from Perfect! I love them :) After reading other reviews, I decided to size down (I am usually size 6.5 and size up to a 7 in boots, but purchased these in a size 6). They fit perfectly with enough room to wear thick socks to aid the "breaking in" process. They rub a bit at the heals, but nothing to major - a couple of plasters and thick socks fixed this, and will hopefully get better over time as I wear them in more! For me, they don't feel particularly heavy on the foot, and the platforms aren't too thick so I am still able to drive in them. Delivery was a lot faster than anticipated which is an added bonus!

Rated 4 out of 5 by rxuth from Great, but a bit too large I just bought myself a pair today (payday!) and my size (7) fit a bit too large. I opted for a size lower which were a “tiny” bit hard to zip up but were a snug and happy fit with my thick pair of socks I was wearing. Been wearing them all evening in the house to stretch them out a bit as I have wide feet and found the sides a bit stiff. (As you would expect from new docs) I wish the brand I went to sold half sizes as a 6.5 would’ve been PERFECT but equally, really looking forward to wearing them out and for when they’ve moulded to my feet more and fit like gloves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kat112 from Sinclairs I bought these about 2 weeks ago, I suggest wearing three layers of socks one of which bed socks(fluffy socks) as the outer layer. First time I wore them I was in complete agony and walked with a limp on the way home, but I understand they need breaking into like it did with my other pair of docs, I’ve only wore them twice since having them as it really does hurt for the first couple of wears so please keep this in mind before buying so they don’t just sit in your room gathering dust. I wish the delivery information was in a more noticeable place on this page as I paid an extra £5 for next day delivery and had to go back onto the website to find out they don’t do that on Saturdays and Sundays and didn’t get the money back and had to wait until Monday

Rated 5 out of 5 by Issy8 from So comfy and look amazing on, but size down!! Saw these online and had wanted them for ages so I bought them and they're honestly amazing. So comfortable because the leather is so soft you don't really have to break them in. I had read reviews online and everyone mentioned how they come up quite big, so I sized down half a size and they fit well (I even could have sized down a full size). Also one thing I would say is that the insole it comes with is only half a sole, so if you don't wear thick socks then I advise you buy extra insoles!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by PurplePrincess from Better than expected As I have quite a few pairs of DMs but not the platform style ones and wanted to them for ages! I tried on the the normal lace ups ones in my size of a usual 7 they seemed really small. I tried on a size 8 they were too long looking, I ended looking like Roland Macdonalds! Not the usual cute cute look I expect! I tried on these Aunt Sally style and they were much more the usual DM sizing, in fact they looked great as you can have two different styles with them, zip up or have the zip open and do the lace up like normal. First day wear I wouldn't take them off I absolutely love them! They are really chunky and make my feet look small. I've had these for just over a month now and they are great, very comfortable as the leather is really soft and more matt looking. Only criticism is they are bit heavy.

They are quite heavy and the sizing is definitely on the large side however I ordered my usual size 5 and the delivery was really quick with Office but I felt like they were a bit too roomy. I phoned my nearest Office shop to see if I could come and try a 4 on and they were really helpful! Checked if they had 4's in stock and was telling me to come in to make sure I got the right size which I did do.. but the 4 was too small. My toes were touching the end and they felt cramped. The sizing between the 4 and 5 is massive even comparing them soul to soul the 5 looked considerably longer. A 4 1/2 probably would of been perfect but I decided to keep the 5 anyway because with thicker socks and the zip fully done they feel fine and a bit of extra room is definitely better than being squashed!
