OFFICE and Converse have come together once again to celebrate the launch of the ‘Festival’ packššµāØ.
We collaborated with emerging musician Rachel Chinouriri in an otherworldly festival location. We found out about her craft, musical journey so far and how she is styling her Converse’s this season!š

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Iām from Croydon, I love dogs and I love Jaffa cakes.
Talk us through your most memorable gig?
Definitely my EartH Hackney gig, I cried a bloody lot. It was emotional to see all those people in the room. I also felt very exposed as my songs are so personal but I met someone who came from Amsterdam to see me and now I consider him a friend so I hold that gig close to my heart.Ā

Who are your musical influences?
Coldplay, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Daughter, Labrinth and quite a few others. I also love early 00s Brit pop/ indie music.
Advice to anyone wanting to break into the music industry?
Younger me would hate myself for saying this but be true to who you are. Donāt allow people to alter your artistry because itās pretty shit. If you just chase fame youāll just be disappointed and probably spiral soā¦ true success in the music industry is being loved for who you TRULY are.

Tell us about your relationship with Converse, do you remember your first pair?
I couldnāt tell you how long ago I had my first pair of Converse. I want to say maybe 16/17, but I was obsessed with them before but couldnāt really afford much beyond Primark back then with clothes. I remember getting the black vintage pair and they were a dream. I wore them everyday and still do, no matter how battered they are

How are you styling the Festival collection?
I love a long low rise maxi skirt. So probably a skirt, some waist chains and a tie up bell sleeve crochet top plus lots of jewellery.

My album will be out soonĀ and I cannot wait for it to become a reality. Itās my first one soĀ Iāve put a lot of pressure on myselfĀ and it is stressing me outĀ a LOT.
