It’s 2019 and rightly so the Converse All Star isn’t going anywhere. With more diverse trends coming through year on year, keeping your wardrobe paired with this much loved classic has never been more important. Here are our thoughts on styling the Converse All Star right now.

1. Denim
Converse and denim are a match made in heaven. Baggier denim fits are big right now. We are seeing more flared denim and slim wide leg cuts combined with the high wasted style that we are all used to. In terms of the coloring, think 80’s, acid wash and lighter toned denim.

2.Patterns
If you’re feeling bold, go with it! Strong colors and animal prints are something that we are seeing coming through in abundance. If your pattern game is strong our advice would be to stick to one print as part of a two piece or to keep your pattern piece the main focal point of your outfit avoiding clash patterns.

3. Accessories
The cherry on top. Your fit isn’t complete without accessories. With all consideration to the above, we would say that simple accessories are best suited to this look. Bring out your clean cut matt leather bag or if you want to be a bit more adventurous you could rock some metallic colors such as silver or gold. Socks are important! In most cases a white tube sock just peeking out from beneath your denim will do the trick. These could also feature some minimal branding or patterns.
