We collaborated with emerging journalist and women’s football enthusiast, Ryhanna Parara | @ryhannaparara13 in and around the city to style up new szn #adidas❤️. We caught up with Ryhanna below to find out more about her career so far and how she is styling up the #adidas ‘Bermuda’ this szn!🤩🤳
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hey! I’m Ryhanna, I work as a presenter and content creator in women’s football, working with various media outlets, brands, and clubs. I’ve always had a love for football having played from a young age and was lucky enough to play for the likes of Millwall and Charlton. In addition to football, I modelled from the age of 8 and danced competitively from the age of 13.

Talk us through your career journey so far?
After falling in love with women’s football over 10 years ago, I decided to start my own TikTok channel in September 2022 to create content around the Barclays Women’s Super League and the FA Championship. It started as a passion project to share my thoughts and opinions with my friends and then quickly realised there was a growing interest from people, I didn’t know… it was a surprise to be honest!!

Can you give us a little insight into your day–to–day life in the journalism scene? Any tips
for beginners?
No two days are the same, honestly! Some days I will be creating content for my own channels and some days I can be at the Emirates Stadium doing social takeovers for Arsenal Women. It definitely keeps everything exciting and fun though!
My tips would be to just start, put yourself out there and don’t over think it. You never knowwho is watching.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your career to date?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is not being afraid to say no. When opportunities are coming in and they all seem very exciting when you’re first starting out – trust your instincts. That said, always try something once and see if you like it! I would also say talk to everyone! Be a sponge, everyone has a different path and something different to offer that you can learn from.
Your proudest achievement in 2023 so far?
Ooo that’s tough but definitely being able to work for Arsenal – they made me fall in love with women’s football 10 years ago. Being able to work at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup was also unbelievable. I did not expect to be working at a major tournament already.
Describe your personal style?
Hmm, I don’t have a particular style. I would say a bit of everything… something out there and fun. I like to experiment.
How are you styling your adidas Bermudas this season?
As there are some real statements and poppy colours I would say with neutral tones so that the shoe can be a statement piece.
