Scorcher steals for the week a head 🌞🌴

Tuesday, June 20th, 2017

So whats the best or should we say coolest option for scorching temperatures? Nothing. Just kidding, choosing the right shoes and pairing them with light dresses or trousers are always a guaranteed win. Choosing your outfit for the day is determined on how smart you need to be for work, but also how cool you can be during our fiery heat week. With a mix from flat to mids, our shoes leave you looking great and feeling great. Strappy sandals, espadrilles, mules and slingbacks  are Summer classics. These shoes can be dressed down or dressed up, if you are wishing to wear them to work, choose shoes with added details to elevate your look. Whilst we all would love to be lounging by a crystal blue pool, we know that the only way to make the most of this climate is to buy yourself some new beautiful Office shoes.

Choosing the right shoe for work

Wednesday, June 7th, 2017

Your office attire is very important, it needs to be practical, comfortable and stylish (obviously). We know choosing the right outfit is either a loved or feared task, however we feel with our selection of shoes , you’ll be owning this activity. Choosing the right office shoe (excuse the pun) is down to your work environment, is it smart, casual or always on the go?

We have some essential tips in choosing the right shoe:

  1. If you need height, or have opted for a great pair of culouttes, why not try some of our high studded mules? Easy to slide into and get your work day going (great for Summer too)
  2. Looking for a touch of height? Kitten heels are your go-to. The right amount of elevation, whilst remaining steady enough on your feet. We love these paired with a pair of skinny denims or wide flowing trousers. If you want to be a bit more adventurous,
  3. If you happen to be a busy bee, and have already read our guideline of wearing trainers, choosing a classic all white Converse is ideal for the workplace. Sleek and comfortable (suits almost any wardrobe choice).
  4. If you’re a flats kind of lady, why not try a classic loafer? Great with a suit, or tailored paired of denims.

How to wear your trainers to work

Wednesday, May 17th, 2017

Some people love it, some people despise it, but getting ready for work can be an interesting task. Your outfit is dependent on your working environment and your profession of course. Most companies are modernizing with fashion trends, and slowly embracing the trainer trend. Or is the working world becoming more accepting that the commute to work needs to be a comfortable and stylish? Either way, trainers are a must-have, and we love it when we see more of this trend during the week. There are some guidelines to follow when you are wishing to rock your kicks, and we have a few do’s and don’ts that will help you feel smart but cool at the same time.

The Do’s:

  • Invest in a trusted brand that you can wear throughout the week, shoes that wear well and maintains their shape
  • We like to suggest subtle coloured trainers for work, so muted tones or the classic black and white
  • Pair your trainers
  • with a great dress
  • Less is always more, so keep it minimal but still cool
  • Keep your trainers classic, leave statement pieces for the weekend unless your working environment allows for some jazzy footwork
  • If you do like colour, a touch of it can be seen on your trainers (accent colours can be formal)
  • Build your collection, and love your trainers
  • Trainers look great with a suit

The Don’ts:

  • Don’t be shy to rock this trend, it is comfortable and stylish, what more could you want?
  • Do not forget to tie your laces
  • Don’t let your trainers get grubby, trainer etiquette all the way

Men look good in Pink

Monday, May 8th, 2017

It has come to our fashion attention, that more and more gentlemen are rocking pink. This feminine hue has always been around the male fashion scene, but it’s prominence now is more so than ever. This trend is being explored through shoes, varied pink sweatshirts and soft silk shirts. Pink was a popular highlight on the Spring runway. You could be daring, and go all out in your pink suit or take on subtle hints of the colour through your shoes and denim jackets. British GQ coined the spring trend as ‘Get Pinked’ and we quite like it.

Time to suit up #ownit2017

Friday, April 7th, 2017

It’s that time of year again, where the occasion calendar is starting to fill up (rather quickly). Whether it is prom focused or you are attending a wedding, its time to start making sure your suits are pressed and making sure that you’re your best version of formal. Loafers, drivers or brogues are a popular choice, yet it really comes as no surprise that we suggest a pair of sneakers to the mix, as these shoes pair well with formal attire. We encourage you to have fun with your shoes, and with our extensive collection to choose from, you’ll be ready before you know it. Get fancy with your footwork.

Pastel shades are here to stay!

Friday, January 27th, 2017

Pastel shades and muted tones took our shoes by storm last season. We’re talking pinks, blues, nudes and greys. They appeared on styles you wouldn’t expect adding feminine touches to the Timberland work boot and softening the bulkier structures of sportswear styles. Lucky for you this trend is here to stay and will take you all the way though to A/W17.

They’re also a great way to add a touch of colour to an outfit without it being over-baring. Let’s face it we all need a bit of colour in our lives when the weather is this depressing. When a well deserved holiday is slightly out of reach, new shoes always help!

2016 vs 2017

Friday, January 6th, 2017

2016 was the year of all things pastel colours, slip on loafers, metallic finishes, our favourite trainers classics making a come back and the bob hair cut. 🙂

You loved it and we loved it. Here’s the run down of what 2016 looked like and what to expect this coming year!

2016

Pastel tones were a huge hit last year and thankfully for those of us who have filled our wardrobes with all shades of nudes and pink, this trend isn’t going anywhere! Feminine features such as delicate embroidery and studs will be seen on ankle boots and flats this year. A lovely way to add some subtle detail to an outfit. Velvet will also continue to make huge impact this year creating a feel of luxury to those everyday outfits. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect from us this year. Be ready, its going to be awesome!
