Nike Huarache – New colours coming soon!

Wednesday, March 26th, 2014

With under a week to go, we’re getting excited for the launch of our first ever women’s Nike Huarache  trainers!

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the Nike Air Huarache trainer, they’re steeped in sneaker history, like all great Nike trainers before them. Created by the legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, this famous silhouette goes back as far as 1991. Inspired and named after a Native American sandal, Nike’s Air Huarache model transformed trainer fit forever. When they launched all those years ago, Nike asked us ‘Have You Hugged Your Foot Today?’. This of course related to the snug, glove-like fit from their neoprene and spandex sock contained neatly within the upper. If the secure fit, coupled with  Nike’s trademark air unit didn’t already make the sneaker scene sit up and pay attention, the iconic thermoplastic heel strap and unrivalled for comfort certainly did.

With minimal branding, cut out design and dimpled Phylon midsole, it was one of the purest performance footwear designs ever seen. Since the shoe was born, the huarache family grew from strength to strength and was even endorsed by athletes including Olympic gold medallist Michael Johnson.

Bringing this awesome style up to date, our new colourways are pretty darn special. With a choice of atomic mango and sail or base grey and grape we’re really torn with what ones to go for.

With details such as the woven toebox and metallic rubber heel strap they are the perfect summer style.

These fresh new colourways are available in sizes 3-9.5, so some lucky fellas can get involved with the larger sizes too! Keep checking back to for when they hit down.
