Nike Air Max 1 “Look of the City” Pack

Thursday, March 5th, 2015

The Nike women’s “Look of the City” Collection comes into full bloom with six vibrant variants of the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra. The collection is influenced by distinct style capitals: London, Milan, New York, Paris, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Six new Nike Air Max 1 Ultra designs feature three distinct patterns, each inspired by representative flowers and local heritage of two cites. The prints form individual colour schemes that define each city.

New York and Paris

New York’s roses and Paris’s famed lilies make up the first pack.

New York is displayed in a monochromatic black, white and grey palette, fitting of the cities landscape and NYC’s love of the colour black. Its Parisian counterpart takes the decoration in blushing  pastels reminiscent of Marie Antoinette.

London and Tokyo

London’s rose and Tokyo’s famed cherry blossoms make up the second instalment.

A  indigo blue colourway represents the Japanese capital, while London receives a fiery red-and-white treatment atop a black background to reflect its gothic architecture.

Milan and Shanghai

Finally, Milan’s lilies and Shanghai’s plum blossoms are matched in delicate balance for the third and final instalment.

A golden bronze tone, evocative of the Italian Renaissance, highlights the Milan Air Max 1 Ultra, in contrast with a saturated monochromatic red on the Shanghai version.

All trainer models have t-shirts to match the pattern and feature the intitial of each city.

The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra “Look of the City” pack will launch on Saturday 7th March and will be available online and in selected stores.

Nike x Liberty AW14 Collection

Friday, November 28th, 2014

We are super excited here at OFFICE HQ because we can now reveal that the Nike x Liberty AW14 collection is launching on Tuesday 2nd December, just in time for Christmas.

Blog_NikexLiberty

This capsule collection of 7 styles features 4 of Nike’s favourite styles with 3 new Sneakerboot silhouettes to mix the retro with the contemporary. The print used this year is the Belmont Ivy, one of Liberty’s heritage prints that features a pattern of ivy leaves that on closer inspection has the British One Pound note printed on each one. Updated for 2014, Nike added their own touch for the first time since collaborating with Liberty and put an overlay of polka dots over the print.

The iconic Air Max 1 comes in two forms with the classic in burgundy and the sneakerboot version.

First released in 1972, the Blazer had a huge revival 3 years ago and we still love this clean cut, easy to wear style.

For those who prefer a chunky trainer, the classic basketball style Air Force 1 hasn’t been left out, featuring the burgundy print. The dark blue version is sure to be a girls favourite as this sneakerboot update takes the Air Force 1, slims it down and adds a heeled Lunar sole to create the Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi.

LibertyPackInternationalist

Last year saw the return of the Internationalist and since then we can’t get enough of it, so it made sense for Nike to give us the option of the classic and the new Mid, sneakerboot update.

The Nike x Liberty AW14 Collection launches in-store and online here on Tuesday 2nd December.

Keep checking @officeshoes for an exciting Nike x Liberty competition.

Football Style Icons

Tuesday, August 5th, 2014

In honour of the Premier League kicking off in less than 2 weeks we thought we would pay homage to a select few football style icons as chosen by the guys and girls in OFFICE HQ.

These sporting heroes manage to turn it up both on and off the pitch with their unique style and personality and we have selected some of our favourite footwear to match with these talented chaps.

140804_FootballStyles2

1. Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos used to sport some long flowing locks and a headband but now this Spaniard has chopped off his famous barnet, grown a beard and always manages to look ruggedly cool. A fan of a Nike Air Max, these new Air Max 90’s are fresh, clean cut trainers that look good simply paired with jeans and a t-shirt.

2. Girls and guys alike never get bored of David Beckham’s timeless style and despite a few fashion blips in the ’90s this man can do no wrong. He looks good in pretty much anything he puts on but his off duty look seems to consist of loose dark jeans, shirt or tee. This classic Beckham style pairs perfectly with the Alpaca Apron shoe as it is easy to dress up or down.

3. Retired German footballer Michael Ballack never fails to look great in a full suit and these premium Poste Artistry loafers are a sleek alternative to a classic lace up. With a high shine finish it is a great shoe for formal events or matched with some nicely cut jeans when you need to look a little suave and sophisticated for dinner.

4. Argentinian bad boy Dani Osvaldo looks like he belongs on a BMX not a football pitch but his rebellious attitude only makes him cooler. He looks a little bit like a pirate and his rocker style stands out with arms covered in tattoos, lots of skull themed jewellery and his long hair tied up in a man bun. Osvaldo’s effortless style is easily matched with some desert chukka boots like the Cookie.

5. Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes is not only a great footballer but he is also a pretty good model and like Beckham, looks great most of the time. His classic modern gentleman style calls for a pair of retro Converse All Star ’70s.

Sugar Coated Plimsolls

Tuesday, June 17th, 2014

We first got a taste of candy coloured sportswear when it graced Chanel’s  SS14 catwalk in Paris, emphasizing the sports luxe style in pastel perfection.

Pastels are starting to dominate our summer wardrobe and some cute fondant coloured plimsolls will look great at the beach, on a city trek or at a summer event and these milkshake colours even compliment some tanned pins. Pair some crochet Superga 2750’s with a girly smock dress, silver Air Max 1‘s with some light denim or dress down some tailored coordinates with a pair of mint green Converse .
