A footwear revolution which began in 1970 and has continued ever since, the renowned Kickers brand is one with a rich British heritage and diverse music culture intertwined in its DNA. It’s creator - French fashion visionary, Daniel Raufast – was said to be inspired by the revolutionary spirit of Parisian students and so conceptualised a hot-of-the-press casual style of footwear which was designed for wear with denim jeans; hence the slogan ‘born from denim’. This ground-breaking design embodied the ‘peace and love' generation with nubuck leather, triple-stitch construction and iconic Kickers ‘fleurette’. Original Kickers fans came from diverse and contemporary musical backgrounds including acid house, trance, UK garage, R’n’B, Brit pop and hip-hop.
