As a child I will never forget the days of being fascinated by Mother’s skin tight knee boots. It was a strange concept to once look at it, and then try sport (this always was failure due to the extreme difficulty of trying to pull them off). The sock boot seemed to disappear during my mid-teens, and until recently it’s bigger than ever. Every store has their adaption of the boot, and call me biased, but I think at Office we have the very of the best.
The Sock Boot
Sightings of this style boot were all over London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and now Paris Fashion Week. They are the shoes that have won fashions attention. Stars like Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Alexa Chung.
The sock boot looks great with most looks, especially when paired with culotte’s denims, calf-length skirts and of course, great with any mini-dress. The variations we are seeing are usually cut above the ankle or reach thigh high lengths. Satin is the most popular choice of material. We think choosing a statement colour like florescent pink or a patterned floral is a great addition to your wardrobe. Wanting to keep it minimal? Choose black satin, as it goes with outfits.
Wanting more structure?
If you feel a satin sock boot is not for you (too much on the skin tight side) but you’re wanting to achieve the same look, we suggest styles like Aromatic, Ablaze, Atomic and Alter Ego.
