The BFI London Film Festival is taking place across the capital until October 20th, and a host of big-name stars, including Damien Lewis, Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock have already been snapped attending various premieres and galas.
But this film fest is not just for VIPs, there are tons of screenings that anyone can rock up to. We take a look at some of the highlights of the festival, and of course what you should be wearing.
The BFI gives you the opportunity to be a star for the night at one of the red carpet gala screenings. There are tickets still available for the Debate Gala which will see Dakota Fanning and Jesse Eisenberg’s latest film Night Moves being screened.
We don’t know if Dakota will be there, but if she is we can guarantee she’ll be looking super stylish. We loved the chunky heels she wore at Paris Fashion Week, get the look in these Letterbox black sandals. They’ll bring any LBD right up to date.
If you fancy yourself as a budding filmmaker, there’ll also be a series of masterclasses with experts such as cinematographer Barry Ackroyd. Show your creative side in some colourful vintage trainers.
Throughout the coming week there’ll also be various screenings of all the films entered into the festival’s competition.
We’ll be snapping up tickets to Richard Ayoade’s latest curiosity The Double, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, as well as Parkland, which sees a huge ensemble cast telling the story of President Kennedy’s assassination, from the perspective of ordinary people caught up the drama.
Now we know you don’t need us to tell you what to wear for a trip to the cinema, but remember, there could be some famous festival-goers enjoying the flick too. And you probably don’t want to bump into them in your scruffy hoody.
