In 1934 Fred Perry became the first ever Englishman to win the men's singles title at Wimbledon, which he then managed to repeat in 1935 and 1936. In the 1940's the Fred Perry brand was born and the laurel wreath began to be used to promote the brand. The Pheonix is a slim, low profile profile vulc available in a selection of materials and colours. One of FP’s signature ladies styles, it comes with tipping on the midsole and a gum herronbone outsole.
