Keds has been around since 1916 and is best known for its fantastic range of all-American plimsoles. Here’s a bit of insider’s gossip for you – apparently its traditional rubber soled shoe gave rise to the American term ‘sneaker’, because the rubber sole allowed people to sneak around. In the past Keds have collaborated with the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard, designer Todd Oldham, Breast Cancer Research and currently Mischa Barton is the brand’s spokesperson. Most famous for its classic Champion Basic Lace it is the must have plimsole for the summer.
