Its that time of year again when we invest in a pair of timeless UGG boots to take us through the colder months. However if you love UGGs as much as we do, you need to learn how to protect them from the elements and then clean them in case of an accidental step in a puddle.

We totally recommend the UGG Australia cleaning kit as it has all the bits you need to look after these cosy classics and UGG have kindly sent us some tips on how to make sure they always look their best.

Winter Occasions

Friday, December 12th, 2014

With family to visit and parties to go to, your Christmas calendar is piling up with events and we have the shoes to suit your every need in the holiday season.

If you are still panic shopping for presents then you need to be armed with some trainers to pound the pavements with your girlfriends. A pair of retro New Balance 574‘s or a pair of contemporary Nike Air Max Thea’s will be your best friend on long shopping days, keeping your comfy and help you run between stores.

With plenty of nights out planned for the holidays and of course the big one on New Year’s Eve, a perfect pair of heels is a must. It is the season of sparkle and sequins and a glittery dress needs a black heel like the Swirl Shoeboot. If opting for a monochrome, simple look you can wow with shoes and show off in a pair of rose gold Salvation stilettos.

When it’s time to walk of the massive Christmas dinner or pre Christmas buffet then a pair of waterproof Hunter wellies or Timberland‘s are ideal for country walks in winter. Grab the dog and the family and brave the elements with your winter fearing footwear.

Possibly the favourite of all days over Christmas is the days that you can cosy up in front of the TV watching back to back films and stuffing your face with leftovers. What could possibly be a better  than a pair of warm and toasty slippers from UGG Australia and Bedroom Athletics to wear with your pyjamas all day.

UGG Australia: – How to Wear

Friday, November 28th, 2014

We can’t deny the days are getting pretty chilly and the winter weather makes us girl in OFFICE HQ want to snug up in cosy jumpers and a trusty pair of UGG boots.

The Classic Short has always been a firm favourite and most girls have a pair ready to dig out when winter hits or whenever they feel like having a cosy day indoors. Wear a pair of chocolate Classic Short boots or the Mini Bailey Bow with some black skinny jeans and an oversized fluffy jumper. Great for walks around the Christmas markets or staying comfy when doing last minute present shopping.

The Classic Mini UGG boots look cute with skirts and dresses and they are not as heavy duty as the higher models. These black ones are great matched with a leather skater skirt, Nordic jumper and thick tights.

Shearling: Luxurious Comfort

Friday, November 21st, 2014

If you are feeling the cold as much as we are in OFFICE HQ then its time to break out the winter wardrobe, pile on the layers and cosy up with some sumptuous shearling boots and accessories.

We have plenty of luxuriously soft treats this winter to keep you warm as you brave the city for Xmas shopping, visit the markets or are lucky enough to jet off to a lodge in the Alps.

The ultimate in everything sheepskin is of course UGG Australia and we know that our shoe wardrobe isn’t complete without a Classic Short boot. If the Classic range is too casual for you then the new Dandylion heeled boot or Inez cuff boot will keep you looking smart and warm. For bitterly cold days the Earmuff’s are the perfect accessory and can even plug into your phone or iPod so you can drown out the crazy Christmas shoppers. The final addition to your UGG collection is of course a pair of slippers, we know its on our Christmas list this year and we cant wait to stay in them all day whilst we eat our turkey dinner.

If you live in your Converse throughout the year then the All Star Low Double Tongue Shearling is your go to style this season. Pair with jeans and a big, knitted jumper for dress down days.

When braving the elements then the Timberland boot is the best but the Shearling Fold Down boot is the ultimate in luxury. With thick sheepskin lining that either folds down or laces up to keep your ankles toasty.

When/if the snow hits after Christmas or you are lucky enough to go off on a skiing excursion then the new Ikkii snow boots are a must and will have you playing in the snow all day.

Cool Kids | Celeb Baby Style

Thursday, October 30th, 2014

The celebrities better watch their style icon crowns as there are some new kids on the block…literally.

Some of our favourite celebrities have their very own fashionable mini me’s, with their kids rocking the latest trends and even pulling it off a little better than their parents.

We picked out some of our favourite little style icons of 2014 rocking some of our favourite brands.

With two fashion conscious parents, North West is often seen looking like a miniature version of Kim and Kanye, draped in designer labels and sitting front row at Paris Fashion Week. Check out her double denim look, paired with her little Timberland 6″ Classic boots, is it ok to be jealous of a 1 year year old’s outfit?

Gwen Stefani’s eldest Kingston Rossdale has been a bit of a fashion rebel since birth, rocking a bleached mohawk and ripped jeans since he was still in nappies. With his mum having her own label L.A.M.B, he has the pick of a rock ‘n’ roll wardrobe, often seen in oversized basketball tees, tartan and some Nike’s.

With model Kimberley Stewart as a mum and movie star Benicio del Toro as a dad, little Delilah is certainly a cutie and she looks adorable in her navy pea coat and cosy UGG boots.

There is nothing we love more than a picture of David Beckham holding his precious daughter Harper *cue girlish squeals* and she looks super cute next to her gorge dad with a girly pink dress and Dr Martens Brooklee lace boots. With her mum being Victoria Beckham it is no surprise she is already a fashionista and like North West has already been a FROW’er before the age of 2.

We just cant get enough of these mini style icons in OFFICE HQ

Too cute!!

#LFWBlogFest with UGG Australia & Bip Ling

Tuesday, September 16th, 2014

Who better to give the bloggers of London a good wake up call to kick start LFW than blog superstar Bip Ling! Despite her New York jet lag the ever bopping Bip was on the DJ decks at 8am last Friday celebrating the start of LFW at an exclusive breakfast event hosted by Office and UGG Australia for the UK’s top bloggers.

A fashion connoisseur and frequent FROW’er, Bip loves London fashion week above any other as home to the most creative and exciting shows, where “everyone gets involved.”

For three seasons now Bip has also been a part of the UGG Australia Creative Council; featuring in seasonal campaigns and working with the brand at events such as #LFWBlogFest and Vogue Fashion Night Out. Bip has been a fan of UGG since sixth form, when she wore her classics every day, and continues to grow with the brand as the range expands into fashion and casual silhouettes.

In conversation with Victoria White of Company magazine who hosted the event trend talk, Bip was asked what makes a blogger successful. As a game changer in the blogging world, with her creativity and unique sense of style, she puts it down to personality. “When you show your personality brands become interested in working with you because you stand for something.” Take note budding bloggers…

After the event Bip nipped home for a moment to herself and a bit of “mooching in my UGG classics” before hitting the shows. Check the Office blog later this week for a round up of Bip’s fashion week experience, and choice of shoes to go with her enviable outfits!

Those in the know say that style comes from realising what is classic to you and your look, reinterpreting it each season to keep it fresh. UGG Australia are putting modern classics at the centre of things this season with the help from a collective of impressive individuals with innate sense of style and individuality, also known as the Creative Council. Here we introduce you to the different members of the Council and what makes them stand out amongst the crowd.

You may have already spotted her in the pages of Vogue, ELLE or Grazia showing her love for the Classics, the face of the S/S14 campaign is girl of the moment, Suki Waterhouse. With her arrestingly beautiful looks and cool factor, we can’t get enough of her! Alongside Suki is the most colourful girl on the catwalks – Chloe Norgaard, known in the industry for her rebel looks and carefree nature. These two darlings of the fashion world also happened to be top of the league in social media during London Fashion Week!

Introducing you to the UGG for Men range, emerging menswear designer winners Agi & Sam elected the footwear brand as the ideal partner for their most recent London Collections: Men show.

Equally creative, with added heaps of energy, is blogger & DJ, Bip Ling. For her whirlwind lifestyle she dons the Darling boot, a block heel style in soft suede for the girls out there who are equally unstoppable but like to keep their look slick.

Helping us to navigate the eternal question – how to dress for a British summer, stylist and fashion insider Natalie Hartley rounds up her choice pieces in the UGG SS14 collection to show us her classic looks.  So make like Natalie and the rest of Creative Council; put together a look for yourself this season that celebrates what classic means to you – whether it’s a crisp white shirt with a Classic Mini, or a rolled up jean with the block heel Darling boot. You might just be looking at the definition of a modern classic!

A day in the life of UGG Australia’s Delicia Gordon

Friday, November 15th, 2013

Delicia Gordon is UGG Australia’s Regional Product Merchandising Manager for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa. Her role focuses mostly on distribution, consumer profiles and geographical trends, alongside traditional merchandising, such as analysis and planning.

Between a busy schedule and working well ahead of upcoming seasons, she talks to us about her typical day, kicking it off with a good breakfast, and how she got to where she is today.

Q : How does your day start when you get into the office?

A : Breakfast from Leon – a beans pot (no egg) and toast and then the initial 20 minutes I spend with my team. We have a download of the emails received from the US overnight (our head office is based in Santa Barbara, California) in order to prioritise the day ahead.

Q : What does your typical day include?

A : Thinking back to last Friday my day included a meeting with the EMEA President to discuss and plan the upcoming presentation of the AW14 collection in Santa Barbara, then a meeting with the UGG Brand Protection Team who deal with counterfeit product. No day is ever the same at UGG, for example today we’ll be reviewing changes to the Cold Weather Accessories collection for AW14, reviewing upcoming trends for Spring’15, and reviewing the global colour direction to start our AW15 planning…the list goes on!

Q : You’re planning for AW14 at the moment, what is the process for coming up with concepts for new season? Who decides the angle, and where do the ideas come from?

A : Initial creative and seasonal direction comes from our global partners. We work a year in advance in our product calendar so work for AW14 began back in December 2012 and is now complete. We began working on Spring ‘15 in June this year and will see first prototypes of this collection in the coming months. It’s truly exciting when we start to see ideas come to fruition.

Q : Is most of your day spent in the office or are you needed to travel around on occasions?

A : It’s a combination of the two, there are times when it’s imperative that I am in the office i.e. for regional line reviews, planning for the new season, quarterly business meetings etc. On the other hand I travel to the US 6 times a year, I attend footwear and material trade shows and in the last half of the year I’ve travelled to Rotterdam, Paris, Nice, Monaco, Lyon and Milan to review our distribution.

Q : How did you get to become a product merchandising manager? Where did you start?

A :  My career path changed from Menswear tailoring to Buying & Merchandising when I decided to take an evening course whilst studying full time at London College of Fashion.

My first job was as Merchandise Assistant in 2000 for the French high street chain Morgan De Toi. A year later I progressed to Product Co-ordinator and began travelling to Paris every 6 weeks for the in-season buys for the retail and wholesale divisions. Some years on I am now working for Deckers for the UGG Australia brand, and will have been with the company for 3 years in February of next year.
