This weekend, Mill Hill field in Abbots Ripton saw the masses arrive in their thousands for the spectacular Secret Garden Party and some of our OFFICE HQ friends went to check it out.
This unique, independent festival is famed for its relaxed, hippie vibes and visually stunning surroundings with a huge lake, secret waterfalls and decorated stages dotted around the site. With every food you can imagine and people dressed as pixies, animals, butterflies and mythical creatures it is like being transported into Narnia.
The musical highlights this year were hip hop legends Public Enemy, Subfocus, Foxes and Clean Bandit who managed to get the crowds going wild. An unexpected favourite was Max Raabe and the Palast Orchestra who transported the revellers to the 1920’s with their Great Gatsby style sounds.
This magical wonderland of culture had fireworks, huge bonfires, paint fights and even a secret sunflower field that was accessed by walking through a portaloo, a place most of us dread!
Probably the best festival experience you will encounter as it is like none other and focuses on a lot more than music with so many activities to try and secret escapes to discover, its like being in a dream world.
We will definitely be washing off the glitter for days!
