Party Season Flats

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015

Party Season is in full swing and to aid your feet going from event to event it’s time to invest in a pair of glam flats. Taking inspiration from the pioneers of smart casual dressing Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung, add a metallic brogue or suede loafer to see you through the Christmas season.

If you’re not the kind of girl who’d wear a pointed stiletto or a skyscraper platform you can still be just as feminine and fabulous in a pair of our statement flats. Dress down a silk maxi with a pair of patent brogues like Amber Heard, our Result Points come in classic black or autumnal burgundy.

If you find it hard to make the transition from work wear to formal wear why not try a tailored evening suit and match with a pair of croc loafers like our Rita High Cut for understated elegance.

Metallic uppers are still very much on trend this year, smarten up jeans and polo with our Vibe Loafers in futuristic gun metal or elevate a plain jumpsuit with our nineties style Rave Monk Shoes.

For the refined ladies out there our dainty Royal Slippers in suede or our Limelight loafers look great with a full skirt and cashmere jumper.

For boyish charm opt for some hard wear like our Lex Side Zip in 70’s tan or Rumble Front Zip in glossy black.

Our selection should put you one step ahead of the party game this year.

AW15 | How to Wear Nike Cortez

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015

The hottest trainer of the moment is the retro icon, the Nike Cortez. With its streamlined silhouette, classic style and vintage vibe it has had a revival as a wardrobe must have this season.

With a whole host of different colourways and fabrics dropping over the next few months, its hard to pick which is going to be our favourite, we may just have to get them all!

To get you girls rocking your Cortez this Winter we have styled 3 of our hottest colourways with 3 looks to show how they can be dressed up or down.

Understandably, the rose gold Cortez is an absolute fave and this metallic colourway looks great with pretty much anything, whether you are having a casual weekend or out for dinner with the girls. We have styled it with a long midi skirt and oversized roll neck jumper to give you an effortlessly chic look.

The classic all black leather Cortez with a contrasting white sole is again an all rounder but we love it with this 70’s style striped midi dress and this amazing black suede, fringe jacket.

Finally the burgundy and gold Cortez (Coming Soon) is a great colour for Winter as the dark colours will definitely compliment your wardrobe. We have paired ours with some black skinnies, white tee, long duster coat and a warm, bobble hat. This will be our go-to look this season.

Keep a look out for more colours of this retro icon and show us how you wear yours by tagging us @officeshoes.

Trend Alert: The Bandal

Wednesday, September 16th, 2015

Sometimes referred to as the shoe boot, the “bandal” is every girls must have heel this season.

Its been rocked by the likes of Alexa Chung, Selena Gomez and Olivia Palermo and now we cannot stop wearing them in OFFICE HQ. This flattering silhouette, can easily be dressed up or down and oozes sexy siren.

Ankle boots are the ultimate transitional style and every girl loves a heel, so this little hybrids are the perfect mix of the two and are a great shoe for Autumn as they are exposed just enough without making you cold.

the bandal

The bandal has been worn by the Kardashian clan many times, often paired with skin tight jersey. However if you aren’t brave to bear all, then wear yours with skinny jeans and and a big shirt or some tapered trousers and a classic leather jacket.

They also make a great going out shoe because your are less likely to stumble out of them and they look gorgeous with a cute skirt, crop top and some statement earrings.

We are all over this style and we can’t wait to see how you rock yours this season.

New Brand | Cortica

Tuesday, August 18th, 2015

We always love welcoming a new brand into the OFFICE family and we are super excited to introduce you to Cortica.

This small British brand is famed for its “progressive hybrid footwear” and champions the lightweight, sporty style. Super sleek and easy to wear, these minimal silhouettes are a great transitional style to take you from summer until early Autumn.

The two styles we have focused on are the women’s Epic and the men’s Infinity Lace, which both feature a foot hugging neoprene upper and moulded sole unit. The Epic also comes in men’s sizes and has cut out detail to the sides and front foot as well as a mesh heel and thermoplastic heel cap and tongue label. The Infinity lace up is very similar minus the cut outs and features a minimalist lace up system.

The Epic

How to Wear

This style is effortlessly feminine and an easy way to add some sports luxe styling into your everyday wardrobe. Whether your pairing them with a shirt dress for casual days or some tailored trousers and a blouse for the office, the Epic is the perfect in-between style to dress up or down.

The Infinity Lace Up

How to Wear

The guys have been on the sportswear smart look long before the girls caught on and the Insanity Lace Up bridges that gap between smart/casual. Keep your outfit monochrome and pair these with some good fitting black jeans and a long woven t-shirt, for a straight off the catwalk look.

Sneak Peak | AW15 Trend: Upper East Side

Thursday, August 13th, 2015

While we bit farewell to what is left of the summer holidays, there is one thing we can get a bit excited about and that’s our new AW15 wardrobe. Its a shame that the weather will be cold but it gives an easy excuse to wear more layers and fully show off our new looks for the season.

New York is a huge fashion reference this Autumn and we thought we would give you a sneak peak at another trend you will be seeing on the streets very soon. Moving away from the downtown grungy style that we looked at previously, this trend takes us uptown to the Upper East Side. Time to rewatch Cruel Intentions, Gossip Girl and Devil Wears Prada  and uses as a key style influence for this look.

It is a bit prissy and girlie with an edge of Seventies, Studio 54 glamour. The skirts are high waisted and A line, the trousers are flared and the tops are draped and feminine.

Footwear definitely nods to the 70’s with detailed loafers, slim, block heeled knee boots and platform Mary Janes. The colour palette is a lot of earthy browns and tans mixed with black, burgundy, cream and dusky pink. Fabrics for this trend are suede, corduroy, thick knit and leather and the footwear will see elements of moc croc, pony effect and embossed leather.

The great thing about this trend is that you can use elements of your summer wardrobe and rework them for Autumn. The Seventies was a huge hit this summer and we all have a suede skirt or boho blouse that we can style with thick tights and some knee boots on colder days. The look is smarter and less hippie chick but the foundations are already there from this season to take you through until next. Often its the shoes and the accessories that make the difference and help transition your look.

With grime music enjoying what has been undoubtedly its most successful year ever (hesitant to say musically best as I’m not sure anything will top the early – mid 00’s) and this resurgence has not just been in the UK but worldwide (shout out Skepta for a sold out US Tour and deadHYPE radio taking over Amsterdam) And the clothing has come with it – Tracksuits, Air Max 95’s (will always be 110’s to me), Workouts and a £12 curved peak hat are becoming a staple in wardrobes again, brands like Palace are internationally recognised and NYC’s finest are dressing like London road man.

Pretty Pointed Flats

Wednesday, July 29th, 2015

This summer we have been loving the pointed flat and its fast becoming a smart wardrobe must have that transcends the seasons.

Its fair to say that so far this British “summer” hasn’t been all its cracked up to be and we seem to have had more cold wet weather than blistering sunny days. We are still super excited when we get to wear our sandals but we all need a statement flat that can be worn whatever the weather and the pointed flat is our fave.

Not only does it elongate your pins when worn with a skirt or dress but its an easy way to dress up some boyfriend jeans and a logo tee.

The pointed flat has that Parisian appeal that makes it appear simple but look premium and is an effortless chic style that will take you through until Autumn.

We all have a summer wardrobe and a winter wardrobe but there are those few capsule items that every girl needs for those inbetween days and the pointed flat is definitely one.
