Monday, September 21st, 2015

This Autumn, OFFICE brings a new contender to the world of sports-luxe dressing with new in house brand Oki Kutsu.

Taking inspiration from Tokyo and adding the sleekness of Scandi style, Oki Kutsu offers women the next level in casual footwear; perfect for minimal, laid back styling.

Sporty straps and lace up detailing compliment butter-soft leather uppers, solid soles and sleek silhouettes; creating the ultimate in sports-luxe footwear for next season.

To get you ready for new season we have dressed these luxe styles with some of our favourite looks for Autumn, to give you an insight on how to wear this exciting new brand.

A classic pair of black tailored trouser is a wardrobe essential and an easy way to dress up these premium trainer styles. Wear with a structured shirt and long duster coat for effortless elegance.

A pair of comfy mom jeans or super skinnies are the ultimate go to on casual days and the Oki Kutsu styles can smarten up a dress down look for days out with friends.

We thank Lily Allen for making it cool to wear trainers with dresses and skirts again and the all white hi top looks great with a long midi shift dress and leather jacket.

How will you wear yours?

New Brand | Cortica

Tuesday, August 18th, 2015

We always love welcoming a new brand into the OFFICE family and we are super excited to introduce you to Cortica.

This small British brand is famed for its “progressive hybrid footwear” and champions the lightweight, sporty style. Super sleek and easy to wear, these minimal silhouettes are a great transitional style to take you from summer until early Autumn.

The two styles we have focused on are the women’s Epic and the men’s Infinity Lace, which both feature a foot hugging neoprene upper and moulded sole unit. The Epic also comes in men’s sizes and has cut out detail to the sides and front foot as well as a mesh heel and thermoplastic heel cap and tongue label. The Infinity lace up is very similar minus the cut outs and features a minimalist lace up system.

The Epic

How to Wear

This style is effortlessly feminine and an easy way to add some sports luxe styling into your everyday wardrobe. Whether your pairing them with a shirt dress for casual days or some tailored trousers and a blouse for the office, the Epic is the perfect in-between style to dress up or down.

How to Wear

The guys have been on the sportswear smart look long before the girls caught on and the Insanity Lace Up bridges that gap between smart/casual. Keep your outfit monochrome and pair these with some good fitting black jeans and a long woven t-shirt, for a straight off the catwalk look.

Sporty Whites

Friday, June 26th, 2015

With Wimbledon fast approaching, we are taking some fashion inspiration from the game and adding some sporty whites to our summer wardrobe.

This year has been all about the sports luxe style and dressing up tailored looks with sportswear and trainers. Clean, white mono trainers and sporty flats are a must have to give your smart look an athletic edge.

Think boxy silhouettes mixed with skin tight fabrics and performance style textures. Classic trainer styles like the Stan Smith and the Adidas Los Angeles are great paired with tapered trousers and an oversized scuba crop top.

Sheer panelling, airtex mesh and draped jersey are the textures you should source to inspire your look. Match a tennis style pleated skirt and a structured white blouse with some pointed Lennon flats or Birkenstock EVA sandals.

Go a bit nineties with an oversized t-shirt dress and a sports jacket, wear with platform Underground Nox trainers or Reebok Classics.

Stan Smith Style

Thursday, July 10th, 2014

First released way back in 1965 in honour of American tennis pro Stan Smith, this classic adidas trainer has been making history on and off the court ever since. Staying true to its original shape it has a sleek and simple design with a full grain white leather upper and a pop of colour on the heel, traditionally fairway green.

After its revival last year, this humble retro sneaker has taken over, dominating sports luxe styling as its minimal design is easily dressed up or down. A recent firm favourite amongst girls, it is easy to wear with pretty much anything and long gone are the dirty Converse we don’t mind looking destroyed in favour of crisp white trainers.

Pair with black tapered trousers, a white collarless blouse and rose gold jewellery for a smart office look or some acid wash ankle grazing jeans for a slightly more casual style. They look great with a summer skater dress for summer BBQ’s and they graced many a  blogger’s feet alongside their Celine and Acne accessories at London Fashion Week.

The classic Stan Smith is a timeless trainer that is definitely back for good and an absolute must have in your wardrobe as it transcends seasons and time!

Game, Set, Match

Tuesday, June 24th, 2014

The event that officially kicks off British summer is here and we are in good spirits after Andy Murray’s triumphant win last year. Wimbledon gets us all in the sporty mood and now all hopes of a World Cup victory has been dashed its time to put all our faith in a tennis champion. (No pressure Andy!)

The all white, monochromatic look has taken over this season and Wimbledon gives us a great reason at OFFICE HQ to rock this sports luxe style. This trend has us all loving some clean cut classics like the Adidas Stan Smiths, simple Kilter slip on’s and sporty block heels like the Garland.

You don’t have to dress down to wear this athletic style as the combination of silky fabrics, perforated leathers and crisp edges brings out the luxury in this elegant androgynous look. Add some metallic gold or silver flats with some draped grey trousers and white boyfriend t-shirt or add a subtle pop of colour with a pastel heel paired with a white shift dress.

Grab the Pimms, scream at the TV and if you are lucky enough bathe in the sunshine at Centre Court dressed head to do in athletic opulence.

Sugar Coated Plimsolls

Tuesday, June 17th, 2014

We first got a taste of candy coloured sportswear when it graced Chanel’s  SS14 catwalk in Paris, emphasizing the sports luxe style in pastel perfection.

Pastels are starting to dominate our summer wardrobe and some cute fondant coloured plimsolls will look great at the beach, on a city trek or at a summer event and these milkshake colours even compliment some tanned pins. Pair some crochet Superga 2750’s with a girly smock dress, silver Air Max 1‘s with some light denim or dress down some tailored coordinates with a pair of mint green Converse .

All in White

Thursday, May 29th, 2014

Despite the sudden bursts of rain, summer is well on its way and white shoes are a wardrobe essential. The minimalist all white look requires simple styling and acts as a blank canvas for a crisp and cool look.

The head-to-toe white, sports luxe trend has become a firm favourite for the likes of Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney and Celine with its sharp, clean lines void of colour. This achromatic head to toe style is only emphasized by some stand-out footwear and our range of white mono shoes balances perfectly against some modern tailoring and oversized shapes. Fashion blogger Ivania Carpio dresses only in white, stating “White evokes more of a feeling; fresh, clean, pure, and empty but mostly a feeling of possibilities”. Read her stunning blog Love Aesthetic.

In all their clinical brilliance, all white shoes make a statement in this stand-out shade. Pair OFFICE Hoxton slider sandals with baggy 501’s and a white cami or some stand-out platform Vagabonds with a Bodycon mini and oversized shirt. The possibilities are endless with this pure shade and the all white wardrobe is sure to dominate your summer look.
