With party season ahead of us, its only right that get ourselves ready for the glitz and glamour of our favourite time of year.
Time to bring out the sparkles, glitter and lame and go OTT this season with a touch of Studio 54 glamour. The Seventies have been a huge fashion influence this year and this continues into partywear with us taking our outfit inspiration from the likes of Angelica Huston, Grace Jones and Bianca Jagger.
Back then the jumpsuits were head to toe glitter and the heels were high, but it is easy to achieve this look with a stand out pair of shoes and plenty of sparkle.
Platforms were of course the shoe of the ’70s and our Twin Platform Heels are a must have. With a vintage style moc croc leather upper, these heels look fab with a gold sequin shift dress. If you aren’t too keen on the skyscraper heels then the mirrored silver Lima Flatforms also look super cute with a classic LBD.
With London Fashion Week kicking off tomorrow, its seems only fitting that we share the best #FROW looks from New York to give you a head start and become part of the fash pack.
We have picked our top looks from the last week and paired them with our top footwear picks to get you looking front row ready.
Take things to new heights like Jourdan Dunn and rock a pair of Neveover the knee boots with some denim shorts and a long sleeved top for that ultimate 70’s siren look.
Stomp around in style like Hailey Baldwin in some classic Timberland boots, we are loving the grey nubuck pair this season and they look super cute with muted pastel colours.
Make sure you have a statement pair of flats as they are a fashion week staple. If you are lucky enough to be running between fashion shows, then a classic pointed ballet flat like our Lifestyle in white will be you best friend for long days.
If you are a trainer girl and can’t live without them, a pair of smart adidas Gazelle OG‘s will look great with a long midi dress and leather jacket.
This summer we have been loving the pointed flat and its fast becoming a smart wardrobe must have that transcends the seasons.
Its fair to say that so far this British “summer” hasn’t been all its cracked up to be and we seem to have had more cold wet weather than blistering sunny days. We are still super excited when we get to wear our sandals but we all need a statement flat that can be worn whatever the weather and the pointed flat is our fave.
Not only does it elongate your pins when worn with a skirt or dress but its an easy way to dress up some boyfriend jeans and a logo tee.
The pointed flat has that Parisian appeal that makes it appear simple but look premium and is an effortless chic style that will take you through until Autumn.
We all have a summer wardrobe and a winter wardrobe but there are those few capsule items that every girl needs for those inbetween days and the pointed flat is definitely one.
With the annual Cannes Film Festival kicking off last week, we thought we would share our fave looks from the event, and of course the shoes.
Film stars, models and pop stars made their way to the South of France to attend this glamorous festival that honours upcoming films, stand-out directors and acting talent.
Girl next door Emma Stone and Oscar winner Cate Blanchett both opted for some black pointed heels like our classic On Tops that complimented their porcelain pins and black cocktail dresses by Oscar De La Renta and Alexander McQueen.
Newcomer Rooney Mara also wore McQueen and German bombshell Diane Kruger wore a pale blue, embellished Dolce and Gabbana dress. They both kept things simple with some minimal nude, strappy heels as to not take the attention away from their dresses. Get the look with our Priscilla heel.
Bad boy Colin Farrell looked every inch the movie hunk in his grey three-piece suit and his shirt open just enough to make the girls blush. He paired his summer suit with some classic brogues like our premium Poste Montrelle.
Oscar winner Natalie Portman looked like a little black swan in her Rodarte dress, that she matched with some cute black heels like our Pretty stiletto.
We are all about the mule and the sling-back this Spring/Summer but why should the heels get all the fun. Our collection of new flats are all business in the front and party in the back, ready to flaunt your tan on sunny days.
This delicate, feminine style of flat is easy to wear and can be worn smart for work or dressed down for those shopping till you drop days.
The pointed Luther or Laguna looks great paired with some black cigarette trousers, slim tee and a long duster coat or dressed down with some high waisted mom jeans and a cropped jumper.
The grungy style London and Lava are great for the girl who’s wardrobe is full of chunky platforms, Dr Marten’s and Vagabonds. Pair these heavy-tred sling-backs with some super skinnies and a high neck crop top or add some feminine flair with a cute smock dress and some ankle socks.
Yesterday saw the end of London Fashion Week where the best of British design talent showcased their AW15 collections and the fash pack were out in full force giving us styling tips for the new season.
Despite the cold British weather, stylists, bloggers and journalists were dressed to impress as they hung out around Somerset House waiting for the next show to begin.
Sportswear was a big hit this year and everywhere you looked you could see the classic shell-toe adidas Superstar on men and women. Dressed up with tailored trousers and cocoon coats or dressed down with ripped boyfriend jeans and thick knitwear, the Superstar was a firm fashion favourite.
Points, slip-ons and mules were also dominating the style set this season and it seemed everyone was loving the retro 70s look, opting for camel coats, flares and paisley prints.
To coincide with the launch of LFW on Friday 20th we teamed up with Vans to host a VIP gifting event at the ME hotel, a stones throw from Somerset House and in the heart of all the action. In the evening we took key members of press, plus a load of competition winners to our first #OFFICEHOUSEPARTIESevent at the House of Vans London, find out more about the night here > http://bit.ly/1upyEjJ
On Friday 20th we had the pleasure of attending Jean Pierre Braganza in the main tent at Somerset House and we realised early on we wanted one of everything. Taking his inspiration from fighter jets and film noir the collection consisted of oversized tees, fur trimmed aviator jackets and wide legged slacks. We would wear this power vixen collection with our black Pitch Point mule, Naughty Thigh High boot or Precious shoe boot.
It was an early start on Sunday 22nd as we heading to the Institute of Contemporary Arts on The Mall to attend the Palmer // Harding show and presentation. Wearing our new Lance Monk shoe the models looked like Russian dolls in heavy wool coats, high neck shirts and embroidered dresses with their hair in milk-maid braids.
On Monday evening we attended the Hunter Original show at the Albert Embankment warehouse where Alasdhair Willis put on a visual masterpiece with models walking in amongst cascading water. Giving the feel of a wet British winter the models were wrapped up in thick outerwear, oversized trousers and of course the trusty waterproof rubber welly in many forms.
LFW definately went off with a bang and we cannot wait until next season.
Day 3 at NYFW and our spy is still there, bringing the latest and greatest in street-style and the ladies of New York continue to impress with their FROW ready outfits.
Casual ankle boots in warm tonal shades of tan and khaki are prevalent. Our premium Scandinavian brand Ten Points offer plenty of quality leather pieces like this New Toulousse Chelsea boot in cognac. Keeping it comfy in trainers and sweats may not be typical fashion week attire but when worn correctly can exude laid back cool, a classic white leather Converse is perfect for this look.
A colourful trainer like this ReebokPrincess in burgundy can be dressed up with tapered trousers and a fitted jacket. The gorgeous Olivia Palermo was spotted mingling with the elite, flawlessly dressed as usual, sporting a fur stole and 70’s flares. Our Vibrant pointed pumps are Olivia inspired and are perfect for a more comfortable and accessible look.
If like a lot of women you are partial to a bit of height but aren’t brave enough for stilettos try a mid heel in this season’s shade of light grey like our Winona block heel.
To emulate a more daring fashion week goer our slim heeled Promise stiletto in chic rose gold fits right in with the cream of the crop. Thigh high boots are definitely still keeping legs warm this spring, our best-selling Naughty stretch boot is back in stock, wear with a short leather dress and statement handbag.
Last night saw the superstars hit the red carpet for the Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG).
Dressed to impress, the stars looked their best in designer gowns and tuxedos to honour the great acting skills amongst them in 2014.
Our favourite Game of Thrones actors were there and looking a little smarter than their usual attire on set. Heart-throb Kit Harington also known as Jon Snow was dressed in traditional black tie with some formal high shine shoes. Young actress Maisie Williams, also known as tough-cookie Ayra Stark looked gorgeous in her red lace cocktail dress and paired it with some gold pointed stilettos. Get her look with our On Tops heels, we have one to match every outfit.
Black was a popular gown choice this year and both Rosemund Pike and Emma Stone looked stunning in their peek-a-boo dresses, which was great for us as we got to peek at their shoes! Emma went for a minimal heel like our Parallel Sandal and Rosemund opted for a classic black court, but we would love to see her in our feisty Parisian Lace Up heel.
Last night played host to the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, which saw some of Hollywood’s biggest stars out in full force wearing some gorgeous designer gowns.
It wasn’t just the gowns and tailored suits that had us green with envy, the classic footwear choices that many of the stars opted for had us desperate to get the look.
Actress Emma Stone went for the feminine classic, the pointed stiletto whereas our favourite girl-next-door Jennifer Aniston opted for a sexy thigh split dress with minimal 2 strap heels.
Golden Globe winner Eddie Redmayne kept it smart and slick in a bow tie and velvet blazer and matched it with a smart brogue. Singing sensation Lorde went for a masculine style in an oversized suit but added feminine touches with a crop top and pointed flats.
