Holiday Fever

Thursday, April 21st, 2016

One glimpse of sun and we are getting a touch of Holiday Fever! Be inspired by style mavens Suki Waterhouse and Sophia Ritchie at Coachella and opt for a casual look teamed with trainers and sliders. For those looking for a more classic beach vibe, sandals in earthy woven leather will always look good, especially when teamed with a boho floaty maxi. Its time to book that beach break…and a pedi! Make a date for Prom

Tuesday, April 19th, 2016

It’s time to start thinking Prom and deciding which kind of look will you go for. Will you go back to the days of Grease and channel a 50s vibe or think Kendall Jenner and opt for a modern look? Our first Prom inspiration board takes us back to a more traditional era, when bobby socks and Mary-Jane’s were the shoe of choice. Think pretty pastels and mid heels for a 2016 take on the look. Take a look at our occasion shoes for further inspo.

Trend | Miami Calling

Thursday, May 7th, 2015

We are gearing up for summer sun and put our winter darks in a suitcase under the bed so we can fully embrace some flashes of colour in our wardrobe.

One of this seasons hottest trends is Miami Calling, a popsicle explosion of pastels and retro silhouettes mixed with some 50’s Barbie Girl glam and Art Deco shapes.

Think ice cream colours, geometric shapes and tropical fruits when adding this trend to your summer style. Holographic block heels, juicy  jelly shoes and pastel ankle boots are easy ways to inject a bit of South Beach glamour to your wardrobe.

Our Top Picks

Sugar Coated Plimsolls

Tuesday, June 17th, 2014

We first got a taste of candy coloured sportswear when it graced Chanel’s  SS14 catwalk in Paris, emphasizing the sports luxe style in pastel perfection.

Pastels are starting to dominate our summer wardrobe and some cute fondant coloured plimsolls will look great at the beach, on a city trek or at a summer event and these milkshake colours even compliment some tanned pins. Pair some crochet Superga 2750’s with a girly smock dress, silver Air Max 1‘s with some light denim or dress down some tailored coordinates with a pair of mint green Converse .

Nailed It!

The trend that has taken the world by storm, nail art is everywhere you look and we are all getting involved. Nails have taken over the beauty world and the shoe box we keep our nail varnish in is overflowing with every varnish variation that appears on the shelves. Whether its gel, neon, glitter or metallic the options are growing so fast, deciding which one to choose is becoming a near on impossible decision. Us girls (and some of the guys) at OFFICE HQ love everything to do with nails and wanted to share some tips we have learnt for beautifully preened nails this summer.

First step is to decide on a shape, it’s not just round or square these days, a 50’s style sharp point which is called stiletto, also one of our favourite things!

nail shapes

Next is the polish and tools needed to create some works of art. Our favourite brands are Models Own; Nails Inc; Barry M; Essie and OPI for every colour under the sun. Color Club for unicorn style holographic polish and Revlon Parfumerie collection for dreamy scented nails. You can also get some great tools from Topshop MakeUp with all the bits you need to create summer ready nails.

You can get your hands on some great nail art books like Wah Nails and Nail Candy, available on Amazon, for some great on trend ideas.

Nail delights have taken over Instagram and nail goddesses @wahnails are your go to girls for the latest look.

A great Tumblr is the Illustrated Nail for high fashion styles and The Nailasaurus blog has a great list of tutorials to get you started.

We have selected some of our favourite video tutorials from the web, so get practising on yourself and all your friends.

Perfect in pastels

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

This season, the catwalks were awash with sugary pastel shades and ice-cream colours.

Antonio Berardi, Burberry Prorsum and Jason Wu were just a few of the brands to champion the trend and it looks set to be the summer’s biggest fashion story.

Read on to discover our favourite ways to work the look…

Accessorise, accessorise, accessorise

If you’re not sure pastels are your thing, dip your toe in the water by adding some pastel accessories to your summer wardrobe. Nude shoes like these patent loafers are sure to put a spring in your step and will look great with jeans. If you’re already thinking about holiday buys, these pale pink wedge JuJus will work just as well on the beach as they will during the evenings.

Add some edge

Pastels don’t have to be pretty; they can be edgy if mixed with the right materials. Rita Ora teamed her powder blue shearling gilet with a black leather jacket and shorts during a recent trip to New York, while Emma Watson’s shimmering metallic pink skirt at the Tribeca Film Festival was more in keeping with her Bling Ring character than Hermione Granger. We say, toughen up the trend with leather or denim in pale pastel shades.

Return to retro

A pastel palette lends itself perfectly to retro styles. Take note of Paloma Faith’s outfit at the Burberry show with a sleek pencil skirt and fitted blouse. We love the addition of her blue overcoat and metallic shoes.

Go all out

As Paloma’s ensemble shows, sometimes the best way to wear pastels is just to go all out. Clash your shades, such as lemon yellow and baby blue, to create a statement look with added sweetness. What’s more, a little extra sugar now and again won’t hurt.

London Fashion Week 2014 – Day 1

Friday, February 14th, 2014

Roses (noses) are red; violets (lips) are blue, matching the pastel pouts and rosy cheeks of the fashion elite on a blustery Valentines morning – it was clear that pastels and pinks were a rip-roaring success to kick of the 2014 London Fashion Week. Whilst we couldn’t have predicted sunnier skies, Office appears to have nailed the fashion forecast promising bright things for the upcoming range (we’re already excited!). As the heavens opened and the fashionistas battled with their brolleys, we were transported to a balmy summer’s day as the crowds braved the bitter weather.

Whether it was cotton candy or fondant fancy, pastel power reigned supreme and accessories looked good enough to eat from head to toe. Even the fashion foodies were whipping up sweet treats wearing psychedelic prints that could have easily been plucked of the catwalks at SS14.

Our faves from AW13 have been re-crafted in crayon colours for high summer, whilst paying attention to cult cut-out styles. Jazz up our ‘On Top’s with destroyed denim and a plain white tee to blag that blogger look, or covet cool Scandi style in our edgy new season ankle boots.

As the paps were snapping, you only had to look up to see chunky soles keeping the leggy London ladies towering above the rest. In buttery leather, buckled and heeled to perfection, OFFICE certainly isn’t giving this style the boot for high summer 14.

For those who chose comfort over couture, our Kilter slip ons were the go-to for those on the go! Paired with denim shorts and a retro rucksack, these fashion favourites are set to sprint into summer without a second thought.

So whether you’re kicking it in slip ons, styling it up in pointed courts or keeping it playful in tasty pastels, Office has high summer sorted. Watch this space.

Monday, March 19th, 2012
I have had a little look around the office again today to see if I could get a few ideas on how to wear our new ballerina pumps. As luck would have it our girls have come up trumps again…I didn’t doubt them for a second. The girls from our ladies buying department like to accessorise their outfits with loads of jewels to help showcase their favourite flats.
