Bring out the winter coats, hats and scarf’s, it’s time. With the UK weather seeming to turn all of a sudden over night, there is no better excuse to stay in, wrap up and jump on the sofa with a batch of magazines for warmth (and entertainment of course)!

OFFICE in the Press

Thursday, December 27th, 2012

Christmas may be over but you can beat those January blues with a little sparkle and style. Glamour and glitz are the theme for many of us teamed with a LBD, statement jewellery and most importantly sky high heels to add a little bit more charisma to that New Year look. We hit the magazine racks to see what everyone’s OFFICE picks are for spring 2013.

These Nikita ankle boots are a must have for the girls at Grazia this year. They have  just the right amount of sparkle and glam for a night out on the town. Alternatively, you could go for the very sexy leopard print version.

For the New Year’s Eve party, the Salsa Queen heels are sure to get you on the dance floor busting some show stopping moves. Same goes for the OFFICE Sentimental Wedge as they shimmy their way across the dance floor to the cute guy from accounts sat in the corner!

Office Party Heels as seen in LOOK Magazine feature

Our stand up brown croc is going to be in Marie Claire’s wardrobe for 2013. Perfect for work or play, these are ready for any occasion.

Fraction Action, perfect for the emerging sports luxe trend, the vibrant colours that these come in will ensure you don’t get lost in the crowd!

The Renaissance Romance on the other hand is brilliant for when it’s cold outside on New Year’s Eve. They will keep your toes warm while also glamming up your LBD for the biggest night of the year!

OFFICE in the Press

Friday, November 23rd, 2012

Here at OFFICE we love all our shoes and we also love a great magazine to read, so when our shoes are featured in the magazines we adore it’s very exciting for us to see! Here, we’ve brought together a selection that we really like and wanted to show you.

Their Christmas wish list is filled with all sorts of wonderful gift ideas, including our Kandi Courts in Zebra suede with multi-coloured jewels. We know we would LOVE to find these under the tree.

Or how about our Delores ankle book? Inspired by this season’s western trend with a hint a gothic glamour. Perfect for taking you from day to evening.

Embrace the velvet revolution by exploring ways to wear the luxe fabric; from tops and jackets to handbags and shoes. Our Srumptious wedge have been pipped as THE velevet heel choice of the season by the Marie Claire fashion team.

Showing us how to wear this winter’s must-have prints, Look have teamed our Britannia Reigns midi heels in black Velvet complete with crown emblem. The perfect heel height for those impromptu nights on the town too.

Last but not least, coming in the fashion charts must haves at number 4, is our beautiful bejewelled mid heel in black suede. Pure decadence!

OFFICE in the Press – Look Magazine

Friday, November 9th, 2012

One of our favourite publications has gone OFFICE mad – and who can blame them! We love what they’ve done with our shoes.

Look Mag are accessorising to the max with the OFFICE Denby boot in contrasting red and black leather. Pipped to be the must have winter accessory, the cowboy boot is the perfect way to add a little western style to your winter staples.

Kitten heels are huge news this season. Our dainty, Vital courts ooze old school glamour and sophistication. Coming in deep red moc-snake skin, that’s two trends nailed in one.

Glamming things up as we start to think about our Christmas party outfits (best to start planning these things WELL in advance we think…) Look have featured some of our fave festive styles for inspiration; think metallic silver studded boots, bejewelled toe cap slippers and gold beaded pumps. That’s the footwear sorted then, now just the dress…

OFFICE Celeb spot of the week is… FEARNE COTTON!

Looking positively radiant, queen of laid-back cool, Fearne Cotton matches her OFFICE Domino boots with a bowling bag in THE colour of the season, deep burgundy red. It really is that easy to update your favourite wardrobe staples for a stylish, new winter look!

Behind the Scenes at the Look Show

Wednesday, October 10th, 2012

Hi guys, Scott from HQ here. I was lucky enough to get invited to the LOOK SHOW, here’s what happened!

It all started with an invitation that arrived in a lovely red envelope. As you can imagine, I was rather excited once I knew what was inside! It was my first fashion show and first time at the Royal Courts of Justice (however I think that is a good thing), which I have developed a major venue crush for!

Wearing a chunky burgundy knitted jumper and skinny jeans, I thought I looked the fashionable part. As I got to the venue there was paparazzi everywhere outside. I walked through the gothic style building (by this point I thought I had been taken to Hogwarts), and up the stairs to a room filled with celebs and bloggers. With a champagne reception, I was in my element and chatted away. It was great to meet the girls from UNIQLO, they chose to feature OFFICE shoes in the show!

I managed to chin wag with some of the celebs too; Michelle Keegan looked stunning in a long, dark red dress, Whitney Port was kindly having her picture taken with everyone, TOWIE’s Lydia is the sweetest thing and was so chatty, and Leah Weller just looked perfection!

We also noticed some celebs were wearing OFFICE shoes!

After some major tweeting we were then taken to a beautiful hall, laden with the most AMAZING goody bags! Sitting in the front row I was best placed to get an eye full of all of the beautiful collections. Kelly Brook made an appearance and really strutted her stuff & Alesha Dixon took us back a decade with a performance of ‘Scandalous’ – there may have been some bopping and hands in the air! I won’t give too much away, but the trends for the latter part of the season are epic!

Here’s some of the OFFICE shoes featured in the show:

Afterwards I may have had a cocktail or two and a few rather lovely canapés. I had an amazing time, roll on next year!

Checking out,
Scott

Win a Summer Holiday – Miami by Camille

Monday, August 20th, 2012

Blog Yourself a Summer Holiday with Office and Look

Well it’s high time we had a bit of a catch up on how our Summer Holiday Competition winner got on in Miami. So here goes, sit tight and allow the wonderfully charismatic Camille to transport you to a sunnier climate with her candid tales;
Surfing. Fantastically good fun, in the sea as on the net. Both ways, if you let yourself go completely, ride the wave with absolute freedom, you never know where you might end up. Tossed and buffeted every which way but loose… I love it, you never know where you might end up. Well, in my case, the wave took me to Miami. Woosh…There I am, my fingers expertly weaving me round the web, and next thing I know I am the winner of the most fabulous summer competition courtesy of Office, Look Magazine and Virgin Holidays.

Now I may as well tell you know, when it comes to travelling I am usually cursed. What am I saying, I AM cursed. This is no laughing matter. Family members generally refuse to travel on the same day/plane/train as me for fear of what may lie ahead. You name it, I’ve been through it. Unable to travel home for Christmas (Eurostar blocked in tunnel), stranded in JFK over new year’s eve (blizzard), stuck in Seville two days prior to finals (Volcano ashes – remember Eyjafjallajokull?)… Not this time though. I guess the cherry on the cake of this gorgeous prize was that there was not a single hitch. Not one (unless you count my being distraught at not having Will Smith as a welcome committee, melodiously rapping WELCOME TO MIAMI as I stepped off the plane). And when our driver dropped us off at the Mondrian, the coolest urban chic hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at, I knew the boy and I would be having the time of our lives!

Miami by Camille - Wearing Kick Ass Court

The hotel was in fact so cool that we were tempted to spend all six days lounging by the pool, sipping cocktails and soaking up the (very hot) sun. Set in a stunning all black and white minimalistic décor, and located in South Beach, the Mondrian fulfilled all the clichés of what life in Miami is all about: flashy, fun and fabulous. Highlight of the week? The in-house all-day pool party complete with thumping house beats and magic mojitos.

I could go on about the hotel and it’s daylight nightlife, but let’s move on to the main event: food. When in Rome etc.. Why bother even making the 8 hour trip if one does not plan to indulge in a giant burger or two. Not to mention oversized pancakes with maple syrup, frothy milkshakes, waffles and whipped cream, french fries and nachos. Although I’m very much a ‘full English’ kinda girl, South Beach’s 11th Street Diner’s authentic fare floored me (in a good way) and set me out to sashay out into the city in my new biker boots. And while I was embracing all things US of A, I also dug out the hot-pants. Potentially the shortest piece of sartorialism I own, and perfect for the job at hand. Giving off a casual-meets-urban cool Florida vibe that is, not eating as much as possible. Being open 24/7 meant that we did make regular pit stops to the Art Déco dining car; we did not however confine our culinary exploration to all-American fast-food. Indeed, another great find was Sushi Samba, a restaurant offering a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine and design. If you ever get a chance, you could also check out the News Café, a charming sidewalk coffee shop with complimentary newspapers and books available to browse while tucking-into your salmon bagel with cream cheese.

Miami by Camille

And at night? Pulsating house beats, intoxicating beverages, suggestive visuals… Miami’s latest super-club? Not quite. More like a pub crawl for art lovers. Once a month, dozens of Wynwood’s art galleries open their doors to the public for a festive ‘night walk’. If like us you are lucky enough to find yourselves in the city during one of these happenings I highly recommend you don’t give this one a miss. Street DJs keep the party going all night, and there is almost more colour-popping eye-candy on the exterior walls of the showrooms than there is on their (more conventional) interior ones. Fresh to death graffiti. My absolute fav … Ghetto, moi?
