#Flash Back Friday

Friday, January 22nd, 2016

We wanted to give you a Flash Back Friday blog post on what we’d been getting up to in the past couple weeks.  With new season shoes being introduced into stores we’ve all been really busy, however that didn’t stop us from taking some time to pop down to LCM to see what the buzz on the street was.

Here are some of our favourite looks. Mixing street casuals, tailored  shirts and jackets  is a perfect way to keep your outfit edgy.

LCM : London Mens Collections AW15

Wednesday, January 14th, 2015

Yesterday saw the end of the London Collections: Mens AW15 and the designers, models and celebs were out in full force at the shows and presentations.

London is slowly becoming the go to place for men’s fashion and we saw a mix of 70s silhouettes, oversized, sporty looks and baby soft fabrics. KTZ and Astrid Anderson both took on some military styling this season, opting for oversized, utilitarian shapes. Astrid’s collection echoed Russian rebel with large fur hats, chunky knitwear and hiking style Nike sneakerboots.

JW Anderson and Oliver Spencer went a bit 70’s with tan and camel colour palettes, using soft suedes and shearling panelling. Boxy jackets and wide leg trousers were paired with hi shine loafers and smart monk shoes.

Playful brands Sibling and Moschino went for super bright colour palettes and unusual fabrics for Aw15. Since Jeremy Scott has arrived as creative director at Moschino there are no fashion boundaries. The catwalk show saw Tarzan like leopard print shorts, yeti fur boots and PVC trousers, not to mention an in house snow storm. Sibling went all pink with big tracksuits, faux fur panelling and giant teddy bears as accessories.

Outside the shows, the street style was just as impressive with the fash pack out to be papped in their classic and crazy outfits. The adidas Superstar is definitely back and set to be huge this year, which was evident in the amount of fashion followers we saw in them. Loafers, Chelsea boots and monk shoes were the favourite smart styles this season and were reflected in the catwalk shows, so it would seem these will carry through until AW15.

Military style Timberlands and casual Clarks Original Wallabee’s were spotted in many a fashion show queue. Guys were pairing theirs with turn up, dark jeans and thick knits.

LCM: Mens Collections & iD presents Moschino Party

Friday, June 20th, 2014

London Collections: Mens (LCM)  has now become a permanent fixture in our fashion calendar twice a year just like its womenswear counterpart LFW and the SS15 shows and presentations didn’t disappoint.

The menswear designers have made their mark and earned their own fashion week to showcase the best of what London has to offer, not to mention some international visitors from the likes of DKNY and Moschino.

From Burberry and Alexander McQueen we saw the classic tailoring they are famous for, slimmed down with ankle grazing trousers, light shades and styled with tennis shoes and runners.

Things got a bit wild when Moschino hit the catwalk, with bright fizzy drink logos and bleached denim dominating the looks. Since loud and proud designer Jeremy Scott took over as creative director, Moschino has returned as the luxuriously tacky label we loved in the early ’90s and this week was Moschino men’s first ever showing in London.

We at OFFICE HQ were lucky enough to go along to the iD presents Moschino party as Calvin Klein model and style icon Aaron Frew’s date for the night.

Celebs, bloggers and models were out in full force to support the Jeremy Scott’s first mens collection with Moschino and the party definitely raised the roof. We managed to rub shoulders with the likes of Lindsay Lohan, ASAP Rocky and Jeremy Scott himself, there was great music, a great atmosphere and we had an all round amazing time. Moschino sure know how to throw a party and we cant wait for next season!
