The rise of social media and the influence it has had over the past couple years, has not only changed the way we communicate but for a lot of people it has also provided them a career option they may have never dreamt of. Many blogger’s have used these social channels to their full advantage and built successful careers from them.
Instagram is one of the biggest social platforms used not only amongst the everyday user but celebrities have also embraced it and allowed their fans a closer look into their lives. By sharing pictures and videos that 10 years ago we wouldn’t have seen has meant the gap between celebrities and their fans has gotten a lot smaller.
Snapchat is also massively popular. The difference between Instagram and Snapchat is that your Instagram posts stay online unless you decide to delete them. Snapchat however allows the user to upload pictures or videos from their day knowing they’ll be deleted within 24hrs of them being uploaded. People do cross over both these social channels by posting pictures they have saved from their Snapchat account. Snapchat filters are also popular with their users – we’ve all seen the dog filter whether we’re a user or not. Check out Kendall Jenner’s Snapchat debut below.

Now what happens when Instagram introduces their own snapchat style feature?? – *mind blown* !! Is this is end of snapchat we hear you ask? No, probably not. However, it may mean that the Instagram users who do not have a Snapchat account will no longer feel obliged to download it as their Instagram will now provide similiar features.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens but for now we think we’ll just embrace the update!
