With grime music enjoying what has been undoubtedly its most successful year ever (hesitant to say musically best as I’m not sure anything will top the early – mid 00’s) and this resurgence has not just been in the UK but worldwide (shout out Skepta for a sold out US Tour and deadHYPE radio taking over Amsterdam) And the clothing has come with it – Tracksuits, Air Max 95’s (will always be 110’s to me), Workouts and a £12 curved peak hat are becoming a staple in wardrobes again, brands like Palace are internationally recognised and NYC’s finest are dressing like London road man.

 Fave song at the moment?

Jamie xx feat. Young Thug & Popcaan – I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)

What shoes/trends are going to be big in AW15?

Reebok is definitely making a come back and I expect it to really blow for AW15

The updates may appear subtle to the untrained eye, but the new and slightly improved Chuck II is definitely one to watch. The original All Star will always remain a classic and the new Chuck II takes all the elements you loved about the original into this new update.

The Chuck II will launch online and in-store on Tuesday 28th July.

Guest Blog | It’s Cohen @ Glastonbury Festival 2015

Tuesday, July 21st, 2015

Out of office? On. Wellies? Packed. Glastonbury, let’s do this.

Festivals are my kind of “thing”. I’m hardly a seasoned camper (however much Guiding tried to convince me it was a good thing), but give me a field and enough antibacterial hand gel to last me a week and I’m pretty happy. Having had it on my bucket list for a good five years, Glastonbury was The Big One, and one very stressful ticket purchasing later my friends and I were off to Somerset.

rebeccac

I know everyone says it, but Glastonbury is massive. I decided to leave my phone at home (soz about that, Instagram). Pre-downpour, I relied on a pair of classic Converse All Star Hi’s, but soon enough the heavens opened and I called upon my trusty pair of Hunter wellies.

Weather aside (how typically British), we spent a fair amount of our time wandering round and exploring the site. From the main Pyramid stage and its dedicated, band t-shirt wearing gathering to the healing fields’ boho dresses and crochet knits, I’ve never been part of such a chilled crowd. Denim shorts and crop tops were left firmly at home, and instead people were opting for loose layers, textures and waxed jackets. The accessory of the season? Glitter. Lots of it. Worn on the cheekbones for maximum fairy highlighting.

4 Glastonbury 2015

My “Must-Sees” were the Who and Patti Smith, but my group’s varied taste in music made sure we saw a whole lot of people I wouldn’t normally venture out to see. Highlights included Florence and the Machine, Pharrell Williams, Ibeyi, George Ezra, Jessie Ware, and Modestep (not just because of Josh Modestep… promise). Special shout out to La Roux and her Bowie vibes and Lionel Richie for that smile – enough to melt hearts and even bring the sun out for a ray or two!

Heading back East via Stonehenge may have been tinged with a little bit of “wish we were there” sadness, but there’s nothing quite like liquid soap and refreshing the 2016 registration page to keep you going.

Casual ankle boots in warm tonal shades of tan and khaki are prevalent. Our premium Scandinavian brand Ten Points offer plenty of quality leather pieces like this New Toulousse Chelsea boot in cognac. Keeping it comfy in trainers and sweats may not be typical fashion week attire but when worn correctly can exude laid back cool, a classic white leather Converse is perfect for this look.

LFWDAY3

A colourful trainer like this Reebok Princess in burgundy can be dressed up with tapered trousers and a fitted jacket. The gorgeous Olivia Palermo was spotted mingling with the elite, flawlessly dressed as usual, sporting a fur stole and 70’s flares. Our Vibrant pointed pumps are Olivia inspired and are perfect for a more comfortable and accessible look.

If like a lot of women you are partial to a bit of height but aren’t brave enough for stilettos try a mid heel in this season’s shade of light grey like our Winona block heel.

Thigh high boots are definitely still keeping legs warm this spring, our best-selling Naughty stretch boot is back in stock, wear with a short leather dress and statement handbag.

Winter Sun

Thursday, January 22nd, 2015

The snow has finally hit most of the UK and the rest of us are moaning about how cold it is every morning. However there is a lucky few who are escaping the winter weather and jetting off to a tropical destination.

Whether its a paradise island in Thailand, a travelling adventure in Brazil or a party trip to Australia, you need to make sure you are packing all the essentials, which obviously means…the perfect shoes.

For days in the city and wandering around the markets, arm your feet with some lightweight Converse All Star Hi’s or a metallic Lily Loafer which will look great with a tan.

210115_blog

When lounging by the pool or topping up your tan on the beach, it is all about the slider sandal, easy to wear and throw on and off when walking to and from the beach bar. The new Oblix and Orlando sandals will be your holiday bestie and a sunny day wouldn’t be complete without a trusty pair of super comfy Birkenstocks.

For chilled evenings at a nice restaurant then a cute pair of Oceania sandals will look great with your summer dress and brightly coloured toenails.

Shearling: Luxurious Comfort

Friday, November 21st, 2014

If you are feeling the cold as much as we are in OFFICE HQ then its time to break out the winter wardrobe, pile on the layers and cosy up with some sumptuous shearling boots and accessories.

We have plenty of luxuriously soft treats this winter to keep you warm as you brave the city for Xmas shopping, visit the markets or are lucky enough to jet off to a lodge in the Alps.

141118_blog_use

The ultimate in everything sheepskin is of course UGG Australia and we know that our shoe wardrobe isn’t complete without a Classic Short boot. If the Classic range is too casual for you then the new Dandylion heeled boot or Inez cuff boot will keep you looking smart and warm. For bitterly cold days the Earmuff’s are the perfect accessory and can even plug into your phone or iPod so you can drown out the crazy Christmas shoppers. The final addition to your UGG collection is of course a pair of slippers, we know its on our Christmas list this year and we cant wait to stay in them all day whilst we eat our turkey dinner.

If you live in your Converse throughout the year then the All Star Low Double Tongue Shearling is your go to style this season. Pair with jeans and a big, knitted jumper for dress down days.

When braving the elements then the Timberland boot is the best but the Shearling Fold Down boot is the ultimate in luxury. With thick sheepskin lining that either folds down or laces up to keep your ankles toasty.

When/if the snow hits after Christmas or you are lucky enough to go off on a skiing excursion then the new Ikkii snow boots are a must and will have you playing in the snow all day.

Style for the Bank Holiday – Rain or Shine

Wednesday, August 20th, 2014

With the bank holiday almost here, its time to start planning what to wear for the long weekend as quite a few of us will be packing an overnight holdall and jumping in the car to make the most out of the 3 days off.

Whether it is a city break abroad, a few days at the seaside or some countryside walking, we have selected some of our favourite ladies styles to have you covered, come rain or shine.

RAIN

When the weather gets a bit unpredictable, which lets face it happens quite a lot in the British Isles, we also need some emergency footwear in our suitcase.

If off to Wales for some country walks amongst the mountains, a pair of New Balance W373 will have you climbing trees and picking raspberries all day.

For the festival goers who are prepping for Reading, Leeds or SW4, a bright pair of Joules wellies are a must for some muddy trekking to the main stage.

City shopping and touristy days out call for a pair of timeless leather Converse All Stars or a chunky ankle boot like the Madison as both look pretty smart, are easy to wear with anything and will help keep your feet dry if there is an unexpected drizzle.

SHINE

For sunny days sat on Brighton pier with a 99 ice cream, a classic pair of Vans Authentic are great as they come in so many summery colours and help you walk across the pebbly beach without hurting your feet and stay comfy and cool whilst walking through the lanes shopping till you drop.

For those of us who are lucky enough to jet set abroad to the likes of Rome, Paris or Amsterdam, some sandals and some trainers are a must to pop in your hand luggage. Lightweight and comfortable, the new Air Max Thea will have you exploring the city all day and some simple sandals like the Holla  or Hallie are great for lunches at the Louvre or dinner overlooking the Colosseum.

Guest Blogger: Mens Summer Style – The Very Simon G

Thursday, June 26th, 2014

You know what they say lads, you can tell a lot about a man by his shoe collection. Don’t be caught short this summer with your 10-year-old tatty espadrilles, not when Office has SO much to offer us!

I know, it can be confusing as to what pair to wear with what outfit, and I do realise that some of us just like two or three pairs that are comfortable, versatile and ‘alright’ with all outfits. But why stop at two when you can have many, especially when they won’t break the bank?

simong

Here are a few tips on how to dress up your summer holiday outfits with some great footwear choices:

  1. Travel to the airport in jeans, T-shirt and these classic Converse All Stars. You could even work them with no socks and tailored shorts for a night out!
  2. There are ways to wear sandals and look cool. These Marbella sliders would look great either walking around on your city break, or down to the beach with a bright pair of shorts. Don’t EVER wear them with socks though!
  3. Tired of sunbathing? Then put on these Toms Classic Slip on’s in an Office Exclusive colourway and go for a quick shopping spree in the city.
  4. For a night out with the lads, a pair of boat shoes will do the trick. Comfy, smart/casual and wearable with literally any outfit, these Ask The Missus Igor pair are a great buy. They would be perfect for high-summer work days at home too.
  5. My favourites hands down have to be these Poste Huarache woven loafers. I love how ‘safari jungle’ they are, yet still remaining actually quite smart. And for those who don’t like their feet (like me!), these are an amazing alternative to sandals. I have them in every colour, and wear them with jeans and a shirt, shorts and a T-shirt or any of these combinations, all times of the day!

Glastonbury: What we are wearing

Wednesday, June 25th, 2014

The festival to end all festivals, Glastonbury has officially opened the gates to the welly wearing crowds.

Unfortunately we are headed for muddy days at Glasto as this weekend is due to be a wet one, however we wont let that dampen our spirits or our style.

Come rain or shine, the styles we will be wearing have got us covered for the 5 days of musical mayhem and will keep us dancing until sunrise.

blog_Glasto

JuJu jellies have become a summer favourite and are ideal for those bursts of blazing heat and even the heavy downpours as it doesn’t matter if they get wet, plus they are super cute on their own or paired with some frilly socks for colder evenings.

A pair of Converse or Vans are  great trainers to chuck in our giant rucksack as they are lightweight and we kind of like them even more when they get scruffy!

As country queen Dolly Parton hits the stage on the final day we will be channelling our inner Dolly with a pair of Domino Fringe ankle boots, some Daisy Dukes and a big back combed barnet.

The festival essential, considering the weather that is going to hit us, is the Hunter welly. The mix of colours and styles are endless but we do love the classic black gloss as it goes with everything! Dresses, shorts, jeans and even a tutu, they always look good and will top off our authentic festival look, complete with some feathers in our hair and a bit of glittery face paint!

Let the fun begin!
