2013 was full of all sorts for everyone at OFFICE; warehouse, stores and HQ alike. So it stands to reason that 2014 will be even better and more jam packed! Keep in the loop with what we get up to on social, you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest!

If we had to choose a few of our highlights from the year we’d probably start with being featured in various magazine publications throughout the whole year. They can’t seem to get enough of our fabulous designs, plus it’s great seeing our shoes being featured in some really great articles! Having appeared in everything from Look Magazine, Grazia, Stylist and Marie Claire 2014 is set to be a big one for OFFICE in the publication World.

One of our favourite times of the year and always a big highlight for us, is something that we always look forward to…London Fashion Week! In the past we’ve been lucky enough to have been able to go along to some of the shows. In September Fashion week 2013 we were even luckier and got the chance to see behind the scenes through the eyes of a hair stylist. She assisted on several shows over the week and we got to see Fashion week from a completely new side. Read her blog here.

Breast cancer Awareness Month in October was 31 days full of events and fundraising for a good cause. We got well and truly stuck in, designing a Breast Cancer Care shoe, of which 75% of the price of the was donated directly to the charity. We went along to the awareness evening as well, we got all dressed up in stores and had a bake sale here in HQ to raise some extra pennies. In total we managed to raise £67738.49! To see all the different things we got up to check out the blogs that we covered that month here.

BCC New Final

The last 12 months we saw the introduction of a few new brands to our already busting portfolio. To name a few we’ve seen Palladium, Red wing and JuJu all join the OFFICE family. In 2014, keep an eye for more of the same and maybe some new ones too.

Before we knew it, Christmas came around the corner! And with it OFFICE was covered in elves and tinsel and generally all things Christmassy! We love a good day of dress up so there were Christmas jumpers galore in store and at HQ to get everyone into the swing of things. We also had a social competition, with help from Dave the elf we had loads of great entries so choosing a winner was hard, but we got there in the end.

Our top 5 fashion blogs

Thursday, December 19th, 2013

While we are still devoted to glossy magazines, we no longer rely on them for style inspiration. Instead, we get daily fashion fixes by checking out blogs. Here are a few we have firmly stored in our favourites.

Face Hunter

Face Hunter, also known as Yvan Rodic, started his blog back in 2006 by posting pics of people at art events in his then home, Paris. As one of the original street style bloggers, Rodic is now considered one of most influential movers and shakers in the fashion world.

Antonio Berardi fashion party - London

The blog is mainly visual, living up to its tagline of “eye candy for the style-hungry” and we’d happily spend all day scrolling through his snaps of effortlessly stylish fashionistas from across the globe.

Diary of a Vintage Girl

If you love vintage fashion then Fleur de Guerre’s blog is definitely one to check out. With a mixture of lifestyle and outfit posts, it’s easy to spend hours working your way through the archive. Whether she’s in outfits from the 40s, 50s or 60s, Fleur always looks effortlessly stylish and has definitely inspired us to start trawling through vintage shops.

Style Bubble

Susie Bubble is a firm fixture at fashion shows thanks to her hugely successful blog Style Bubble. With regular posts covering her favourite designers, the best shopping sites across the globe and her own quirky outfits, it’s no wonder thousands of people visit the site each day.

Swarovski Art Plus Fashion Gala - London

We love her outlandish sense of fashion, which she says is heavily influenced by family holidays to Hong Kong, where girls “only dress to please themselves”.

She Wears Fashion

Northern fashion blogger Kavita Donkersley has been running She Wears Fashion since she was just 16 and four years on is still showing off her great style and eye for affordable fashion to thousands of readers.

Kavita is a firm fan of vintage fashion and carboot sales; we love her edgy style and the fact that she gives items in her wardrobe a whole new look by styling them differently, rather than just discarding them after one wear like some bloggers seem to.

Fashion Foie Gras

Fashion Foie Gras promises to ‘force feed’ readers all the latest fashion news, and it certainly does that, as well as providing outfit posts, hotel, restaurant and fashion posts and the general musings of editor Emily Johnston.

Emily also has an eye for up-and-coming fashion bloggers so check out the Style Blogger Watch posts for more suggestions of who to follow.
