Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016

Launching on 05.05.16 the Presto is re-mastered with Nike Flyknit material, a favourite from the year 2000. The new model promises to feel like a t-shirt for your feet – light, breathable and most importantly flexible.

The shoe’s signature adaptable upper becomes even more pronounced through the use of the Flyknit material, which delivers stretch in the collar, ventilation in the toe and tongue, and support in the heel and underneath the toecap. In another first for the Presto franchise, the Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit features a mid-cut collar, which lends a modern aesthetic. The TPU cage is reengineered to fit the Flyknit upper, while the ultra tooling with rubber in high-contact wear areas improves comfort and durability.

Wear the OFFICE way with wide leg cropped culottes, cuffed mum jeans or raw edge denim.

Nike Liberty Launch 17.12.15

Monday, December 14th, 2015

The 17th December sees the latest launch of the sought after Nike Liberty collection. Based on a popular design done for Liberty in 1933 by the Silver Studio, this seasons print is a small monochrome floral in an abstract all-over silhouette. The Silver Studio was one of the most influential textile design studios in Britain from its formation in 1880 until the middle of the twentieth century.

“We wanted to take a more modern approach to floral. Liberty being famous for their flower prints. The “Cameo (maxi)” print is a stylistic expression that through the contrast colors are constantly challenging they eye with the shift of positive/negative space. The increase scale is enhancing a more abstract expression reminiscing of ‘cut out’ paper art.”

AW15 | How to Wear Nike Cortez

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015

The hottest trainer of the moment is the retro icon, the Nike Cortez. With its streamlined silhouette, classic style and vintage vibe it has had a revival as a wardrobe must have this season.

cortez3

With a whole host of different colourways and fabrics dropping over the next few months, its hard to pick which is going to be our favourite, we may just have to get them all!

To get you girls rocking your Cortez this Winter we have styled 3 of our hottest colourways with 3 looks to show how they can be dressed up or down.

Understandably, the rose gold Cortez is an absolute fave and this metallic colourway looks great with pretty much anything, whether you are having a casual weekend or out for dinner with the girls. We have styled it with a long midi skirt and oversized roll neck jumper to give you an effortlessly chic look.

The classic all black leather Cortez with a contrasting white sole is again an all rounder but we love it with this 70’s style striped midi dress and this amazing black suede, fringe jacket.

Finally the burgundy and gold Cortez (Coming Soon) is a great colour for Winter as the dark colours will definitely compliment your wardrobe. We have paired ours with some black skinnies, white tee, long duster coat and a warm, bobble hat. This will be our go-to look this season.

Keep a look out for more colours of this retro icon and show us how you wear yours by tagging us @officeshoes.

The History of the Nike Cortez

Monday, October 5th, 2015

Originally released in 1972, the Nike Cortez was the first “modern” running shoe, designed by Olympic track coach, Bill Bowerman. It was created to be a comfortable running shoe that helped with long distances and rough terrain and was first launched during the 1972 Olympics.

Over the years, the Cortez has undergone many design changes and been released in a number of materials such as leather and suede as well as the original nylon. The key to the comfort of the shoe lies in the sole, the thick rubber sole was made for durability and the raised heel helped reduce injuries such as Achilles tendon strains.

Since its conception, the Cortez has remained an icon, most recognisably in the Academy Award Winning film Forrest Gump. The character receives the classic trainers as a gift and then goes on the run across the length and breadth of America (we do not recommend this) but we are pretty sure this helped the Cortez fly off the shelves.

Since its release, the Nike Cortez has transitioned from a running trainer to a more casual shoe. This year it has had a bit of a revival and has been seen on the streets being sported by the next generation of fashion followers.

The Nike Cortez is set to be the next Nike trainer of the moment and we have lots of amazing colourways ready to drop this season, keep an eye out and follow @officeshoes for more updates.

Coming Soon | Nike New York City Collection

Monday, August 10th, 2015

Following on from LA Glow, the New York City pack is the second instalment from Nike’s “Tale of Two Cities” collection.

29-077955

Showcasing 5 classic Nike silhouettes, the Air Max 1, Air Huarache, Air Pegasus 83, Air Force 1 Hi & Air Force ’07 PRM, the pack is inspired by a glistening New York street after an evening rain storm.

Featuring a black base, each style has brushed, metallic silver panels, giving a subtle nod to a wet, New York evening.

We often associate dark colours and metal with the Big Apple, because of its iconic towering skyscrapers, metal subway trains and bustling city vibes.

With it being the city that never sleeps, most of the action happens after dark and this pack is testament to that downtown NYC style.

The Nike New York City pack will launch this month, follow us @officeshoes for updates.
