The red carpet was laid out (and we were lucky enough to walk down it) surrounded by Zac Efron mega fans who were braving the rain to wait for the main man.

Around half 7, the man of the hour arrived with and his stunningly beautiful co-star Emily Ratajkowski who wowed in a sequin David Koma gown and the director Max Joseph.

We sat down in the retro cinema, cameras at the ready to capture the gorgeous stars when they came to introduce the film to us all, who seemed really honoured that we were there to view the final cut for the first time ever.

The film was a great coming of age story about a boy from humble beginnings trying to make his mark as a world famous DJ. All in all it was a nice story about friends and music and the soundtrack is truly amazing, we wanted to get up and dance for the whole film.

To make the evening even better there was an after-party across the road at Electric, where we were treated to cocktails and great music.

Make sure you head to the cinema to see it when it comes on general release on August 27th and keep your eyes peeled for a possible competition @officeshoes.

Glamour Woman of the Year Awards 2015

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015

Last night London played host to the annual Glamour Woman of the Year Awards, held at Berkeley Square Gardens.

The event brought out a whole host of celebrities, models and movie stars to honour the top names in music, fashion and TV.

Our favourite looks from the evening were modelled by our very own Brits, Emma Willis, Paloma Faith and Fearne Cotton.

Emma opted for summery two piece in white, that she paired with a pair of mesh points like our Premium Mesh Court, a perfect look for any formal occasion this summer.

Paloma stayed true to her stand-out style in a gorgeous, embellished Dolce & Gabbana dress that she complimented perfectly with her peachy coloured locks and black dorsay points like our Jilly Court.

Mum to be Fearne looked radiant in her girlish red dress that she paired with some strappy black heels like our Sophia Strap. She also had an amazing circular bag that we are extremely jealous of!

Met Gala 2015 | Who Wore What

Tuesday, May 5th, 2015

Last night the stars descended on New York to attend the annual fundraising Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts.

Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Cara Delevingne were amongst the celeb elite that embraced this year’s theme, China: Through the Looking Glass and their interpretations did not disappoint.

M

M

Organiser Anna Wintour placed a ban on mobile phones and selfies on the red carpet this year as to not draw attention away from the real cause of the evening and also to keep things a bit more “classy”. A big fan of a selfie, model Cara Delevingne chose to wear a tailored jumpsuit and have an intricate, temporary tattoo etched all over her arms and neck.

M

M

Although given a strong theme to wear this year, it seemed that more favoured the nearly naked look. Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, to no surprise showed off their best assets in sheer, embellished gowns and Beyoncé took everyone’s breath away with a jewelled Givenchy gown that was nude apart from strategically placed beading.

M

Rihanna and Katy Perry made a bigger statement with their choice of gowns for the evening, going for bright colours rather than the traditional Chinese red that seemed to be very popular.

Katy Perry was dressed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino and oozed 90’s supermodel with her new pixie crop hair, reminiscent of Linda Evangelista back in the day.

Rihanna was draped in an enormous canary yellow dress coat, edged with intricate embroidery and fur which definately made an impact next to the vivid red carpet.

Model of the moment Kendall Jenner and Disney pop icon to bad girl Miley Cyrus opted for peek-a-boo dresses, to show off their statuesque figures.

Miley’s medieval style, studded dress was custom made by designer of the moment Alexander Wang and despite looking rather demure than usual, the songstress added her own unique edge with a slicked-back blue hairstyle.

Kendall looked every inch the red carpet mermaid with her green crystal Calvin Klein gown, laced up the side to expose just enough flesh, not quite as daring as her older sister, who is not shy to some over exposure.

Unfortunately the long gowns do not give us a chance to peek at the shoes but luckily some chose to expose their ankles this year.

Cara Delevingne’s tailored look by Stella McCartney was simple and sophisticated and looked great paired with a single sole heel like our black Pretty Lazer.

Mick Jagger’s daughter and model Georgia May Jagger looked breathtaking in her Oriental gown and chose to wear the shoe of the moment, the ghillie lace up. Get the look with our best selling Parisian heel in black.

There were some fashion highlights and some fashion disasters this year but as always the Met Gala did not disappoint with its host of famous faces and the odd gown a princess would be jealous of.

Emma went for a minimal heel like our Parallel Sandal and Rosemund opted for a classic black court, but we would love to see her in our feisty Parisian Lace Up heel.

Promspiration

Friday, June 20th, 2014

As school, college and uni days come to an end its all about the prom, summer ball or school dance, basically the most formal event you will have pre marriage.

Its all tears and tantrums over finding the perfect dress to wear let alone the nights you stay up praying that you’ll have a date. Just like Cinderella it is crucial you find the perfect shoe to match your princess gown, whether it be some glittery Les Ballet flats, Barbie style pink On Tops stilettos or a pair of classic strappy Jeopardy heels.

Unknown

Its true that American’s do it better, with our teenage years filled with the prom ideals from Grease, Pretty in Pink and Never Been Kissed. But saying that the British girls and guys have been turning it out in recent years, hiring the obligatory limo, receiving a corsage and making sure every detail is perfect.

Survival tips for prom:

If you are met with the nightmare of another girl in the same dress, style it out! Ask for a picture together and make it funny, do not cry and get angry in the privacy of a bathroom!

Avoid red drinks

Never take your heels off…..ever!!

Don’t tell your Art teacher that you fancy them (OFFICE HQ true story)

Hopefully you will have the time of your life at your prom, taking your dream date, dancing the night away and swirling your dress around like a Disney princess. However if it doesnt quite go to plan, these stories gathered from OFFICE HQ may cheer you up.
